Description
One of two paintings I did for a couple of friends, 'cause they took me to Disneyland. <3Gauche paint on watercolor paper. Original is about 5" x 9".

She (or he) looks a bit like an Asian Fu Dog. I like the contrast of the sharper calico markings with the background's softness.

You don't think the background is too plain, do you? I showed it to my mom, and she said it looked unfinished. >.>..

No, the softer background doesn't look unfinished, in my humble opinion, it provides nice contrast with Calico. Is "Calico" his name, by the way?

I was hoping that would be the case. I didn't want to fill it with patterning of any kind, 'cause I've always been taught that a little 'empty' space is a good thing. <3
