Such a beautiful display of colour and light. The incredibly soft gradient of the lower surface is simply heavenly; that warm maroon colour paired with the soft lighting not only highlights the forms of the lumps, but conveys this distinctly warm atmosphere.
The lighting, with its relatively high angle, also seems to bathe the scene, further reinforcing the relaxing nature of the image, along with the almost perfectly smooth surface.

The wall of spike-like formations is alike highlighted strongly by the light source, and it almost appears as if the form of the structure is facing and bathing in the incoming light.
The soft tones and variations within the icy cyan convey a really distinctly calming atmosphere, with the wisps of light and texture flowing throughout the structure.
It reminds me of an aurora, which is appropriately serene and fits in with the flowing nature of the patterns quite nicely.

In terms of the colour, the relationship between the cyan and the maroon seems to interact very nicely; a warm, relaxed nature is conveyed by the maroon and a contrasting cool mood by the cyan. Combining that warmth and cold together really portrays a very dynamic colour scheme, adding to the impact of the image and sharpening both elements of the piece.

Compositionally, I love the wide coverage seen on the wall to convey a sense of stature and to imply that the structure stretches on far beyond the frame of the image. Paired with the seemingly much lower landscape, a sense of height is put into context; the scene almost appears like an icy cavern roof over a desert!
The angle of the entire seen also works very nicely with the incoming light, creating that serene, harmonious sense of bathing in the sunlight.

Again, simply beautiful use of those smooth texture all throughout the image with lovely colours and a lovely light source to compliment the entire scene.
