Description This is an update I did to my Stargate from a number of years ago.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
It has been almost entirely rebuilt and completely re-textured. Created a new event horizon puddle which can be seen animated in the Stargate Universe video advert I posted a while back.

Some things never got renewed/changed - such as the glyph ring itself and the chevron design. I was more than happy with them and didn't feel they needed it. stuff that has been updated include the entire back middle-ring section, the outer track of the gate and the outside-type edge. Also the inside event horizon sloping ring has been entirely remodeled, but there are still some errors I am unhappy with.

One major change is that this gate has been rendered and textured accordingly through Mental Ray. I hope it shows. It does add more definition and depth than the previous ones. Hopefully I will get around to creating the Atlantis gate like this too and also the Universe gate in due time.

Does it spin? "It has to spin, it's round. Spinning is so much cooler than not spinning."
