Description
I have a very braggy nature, and when I make something nifty, I like to show it off. Anyways, I made a topic on pkmn.net about all the cool trainer sprites I've been doing. It got 3 responses, 2 from people I know (Aka Pity Responses) and 1 from someone I didn't, asking 'How do you do that?'Of course, my first response was to say 'Black Magic', but then I figured, seeing as how www.freewebs.com/howtosprite hasn't been updated or maintained, I figured I might as well make a Tutorial on how to make a Custom Trainer, seeing as that's my strength... Hope it helps at least one person, or at least gives you a chuckle with the mini-Utack&Swampy explaining everything!
Thanks to The Spriters Resource for the Sprites used
I don't own the sprites or pokemon, they're copyrighted by Nintendo/Gamefreak

This is what I do to. I like to call it "puzzling" it. Very nice guide. I'm impressed. I picked up a few really useful tips.

I'm actually quite glad you made this particular tutorial. I've actually been asked the question of "How do you do that?" quite a bit and I'm generally at a loss for words as to how I do it. I don't feel like I have a set way of doing it, I just set up and go. Plus, I'm sure watching me sprite would be incredibly uninteresting. ...in otherwords, a complete snoozefest.
At least now I've got something I can show people, a direction I can point them twords.
I see that I make my trainers quite similarly to you: from gathering resources, to the fact that my paint window is a complete mess while working. It's like a messy room: When it's messy, you know where EVERYTHING is, but the minute it's clean you lose everything.
