I'm actually not sure, I've always assumed he was just a british pony type, he was a fine child's polo pony in his day

I love the detailed yet painterly style, often evident in your horses but it works beautifully in the background here too.

Thanks so much, I'm doing my best to have a crack at backgrounds and greens, neither of which I have had much experience/success with. This seems a bit of an oversight in my line of work!
