Description This is my third digital painting ever, and this is the first time that I'm not using the Dodge/Burn/Smudge tools, but the brush tool exclusively. So if you have any suggestions whatsoever, please let me know. And don't worry! I will fix the eyes (now fixed) and the boobies!!

This is a WIP of the Little Mermaid drawing that I am currently making. I created the outline and the basic fill two-three days ago, but I had a lot of work to do ... plus this was a new technique for me, so I could not resume the actual painting till a few hours back. Anyway, only the skin on the face has been done now. Even that's not complete. After completing the face, I found that it actually looked pretty neat without the outline. Hence the face is borderless.

Once again, I would really love some constructive critique.

EDIT 1: I finished the eyes and lips today. Though Ariel has dark red lips in the movie, I didn't think it would be realistic in a painting. Thus, I gave her pink - but unnaturally glossy lips. Her eyes are green like her tail.

I really like the white lineart on her fins!

Thank you very much, but it's actually a very light shade of blueish-green.

the waist seems too slim to me , the rear part needs to be smooth , some points on hair needs smoothness too

Actually, her waist is OK. And now that I am going for a slightly non-cartoonish look, the hair will be very different when I'm done ... if I can get it right. :/

If by "rear", you mean the butt ... I see it's not how it should be, so thanks for the heads up.

Nice!
I'm taking this is not complete yet but what's here already is amazing. The face detail is extreamly good. I'll need to find out how to do that.

Yes, it isn't complete yet ... only the skin on the face has been done yet.

You will need a pen tablet to do that. I experimented a lot, and also had a little help from a few persons, but I found this tutorial most helpful: [link]

this looks very good I think you must fix the shape first before coloring , it will make your job easier

Which shapes? The bikini? The eyes? Or something else as well?
