Dior couldn't help but shiver as the sharp winds brushed against his pelt, and his steps gradually became more staggered as he sought for a place to rest and wait out the weather in the hopes of something more tolerable. He could hear the sounds of a broken river where the ice had not yet settled, and followed it downstream with no real intention of location. It wasn't until he had climbed over a pile of rocks that the wind ceased entirely. This puzzled Dior, but his attention soon turned to a faintly glowing figure faintly breathing in a puddle of what appeared to be blood by the edge of the stream. Upon closer inspection, Dior realized it was some sort of luminescent lizard creature. While it would have been wise to consider this an easy meal, the wolf felt hesitant. There was something about this critter that called out to him. Perhaps they were alike somehow? He watched as its breathing grew shallower, and then as if by impulse made the decision to heal it. Dior wasn't very strong with his healing powers; he hadn't quite practiced with it, much less used it to a greater scale, but he soon realized it was enough to bring the lizard to a somewhat stable position. He could not help but notice that the glowing scales of the lizard seemed to match that of his healing ability.

A couple of hours had passed, and Dior had not moved from his spot, lying beside the little creature he had decided to call Aiza. It had still not come into consciousness, but seeing as the winds had begun to pick up again, he did not want to risk its health declining by exposing it to harsh air. His thoughts wandered until out of his peripheral vision he noticed a glint in the water. A small dagger had been swept downstream with the current, and lodged itself into a rock near Dior and Aiza. The impact caused the hilt to rise above the water, glistening in the light. Dior had not noticed it during his healing process. Somehow he felt this dagger was responsible for the state of his newfound companion, yet the wolf felt inclined to keep it. It was, after all, a fine blade, and it may come in handy in the future, especially if he were to chance upon the creature that had harmed Aiza.
