i updated the image- or better i replaced my previous illustration with this new one after receiving more detailed description from the Ocean X team.
from the Ocean X website :
"2012-07-09
Today Monday the 9th of July, Ocean X Team left on their second expedition to solve the mystery about the Baltic Sea anomaly.
After a lot of preparations have been made but they got everything readyin time to leave the harbor.
The crew will return to shore 21th of July and is only available on satellite telephone.
Hopefully we will give daily news about their progress."
this Image is based on the photos published so far and the descriptions of the Ocean X team .

I just saw a documentary of this. There is two objects that it would appear skidded off at an angle to each other after the initial ground impact.
I watched one of the U tube videos and they stated, there was a layer of clay or mud covering the surface of the object. You might think they could analyze it or the depth of the clay to determineΒ how long the object might have been there based on sediment deposits.Β
Also, maybe they can determine the weight of it from the material analyses that they have already, and make an estimate of the speed it was traveling to have made a skid mark of that length. One for underwater and one for out of water.
It is not MAN MADE. It is to big and to deep for that. At least not manmade in our known history. The two pieces with skid marks that meet indicate an impact that broke the object in two upon impact. To answer a thought that maybe it was two separate objects that collided. If that were so, given the footage I saw they would of had to be already traveling on the surface when the impact occurred, and not in the air. The material metal components are of high quality and to create something of that size out of those materials would be very very costly.
The shape is far to unique to be natural and if it is sitting on a mound and appears like a mushroom, then maybe that is all the debris that it pushed as it skidded across the surface before coming to a stop. Hmm?
I believe it is a craft and if others do also then it should be one of the most important priorities mankind has right now on its plate.
THE POSIBLE DISCOVERY OF A CRAFT ON THE OCEAN FLOOR. WHAT COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT TO MANKIND ?

you can check out the facebook-group [link] or this website for a collection of facts about the anomaly: [link]
there will be no new expedition until next spring.Ocean X is hopefully going to release a documentary about the whole thing before christmas, but its not confirmed.Ocean X is bound by contract with Titan TV until new year. most of the images and knowledge they gathered wont be released before that time i guess.
they held an conference recently - you can watch videos of the blue beam and sonar image presentation.[link] [link]
filming is a bit shaky but the explanations from the divers help alot to understand better whats on those image and how to look at them.
the latest and most important "revelations" about the anomaly where made on the conference by Stefan Hogeborn (one of the divers). it seems that the anomaly "is obviously not stone" (as many thought so far) but it is made of an dark grey material that is covered with a thin layer of clay. this dark material was analyzed but the results have not been published yet. the material is described as dark in color, almost black, heavy, hard but also crumbly like it is burned. Hogeborn actually used the comparison of "burned cheese that has stuck for 3 years in the oven" to describe the material.
resuming- this remains a mystery and is getting weirder as the time passes. iΒ΄m confident that Ocean X will find out what they found. biggest problem now is gather funding for the next expedition. looks like that the unavoidable "ufo stamp" that this anomaly got is holding back sponsors ...
for me the possibility of this being a natural rock-formation is fading. more and more it becomes clear that the anomaly is a designed object, probably older than 14 000 years. maybe older than 150 000 years.
natural rock-formation seems to be ruled

Don't know if you've seen this, but Yahoo used the picture in a news article without credit - [link]
The watermark is still on the picture, but blurred and illegible.

hey- many thanks for pointing it out !!!!! the article is really bad-no way that the anmoaly is just a "glaciar deposit" they really dont know what they are talking about and they do not deserve my image. i sent them a message.

it looks like it would be made of stone, but why would those who build it ( if it is a building) build it like that and for what purpose?

really good question ! if it was built above water by somebody- it must have been 150.000 years ago... after that the area was underwater...

iΒ΄m working on a new version, this time with even more input from the Ocean X team.going to release the new image in the next days.each time i paint the thing i come nearer to how it might look in reality. i hope !

π: 0 β©: 2
Vaghauk In reply to Barnyardfan4 [2012-07-04 14:20:37 +0000 UTC]
yes- the Ocean X team had problems with electronics. but they dont no for sure if it was really the anomaly doing that. they are going on a new expedition soon- with more and better equipment. from the data they got so far they still dont know what they are dealing with...

TranquilRuins In reply to Barnyardfan4 [2012-06-30 04:05:41 +0000 UTC]
Read that too! Hopefully its not just a scheme to reduce the information flow about the object. So far we've heard/read better descriptions of the object than video footage (ring of rocks? really? why release something like that?) which shows close to nothing when compared to the inital scan.
But regardless, waiting in anticipation!

TranquilRuins [2012-06-29 13:55:23 +0000 UTC]
This looks great and helps to make some sense of the footage that just looks like a ring of rocks with a big smooth rock on the side. Hope some photos/footage in the future shows something more artificial looking... or at least some sense of scale!

Vaghauk In reply to TranquilRuins [2012-07-04 14:23:16 +0000 UTC]
since the visibilty is so low in the baltic (1-2m) its impossible to show the whole thing on a photo or on video.iΒ΄m doing a new image atm with more input from the Ocean X team.
π: 0 β©: 1
TranquilRuins In reply to Vaghauk [2012-07-15 13:52:19 +0000 UTC]
Righty but if there are artificial looking sections to the object, we are all dying to see it, up close Thought pity about visibility yep - seeing the whole structure would be good.
Could they not just take another sonar image like the very first one? Just a deeper scan for more detail in lieu of pictures & video showing the object in full (and detail). Thats if they have a sonar they can take closer down to the object?
We are all dying to know more This picture you just updated looks excellent btw!!

The anomaly is very intriguing, but the geologist seems to think it's sandstone, no?
π: 0 β©: 1
Vaghauk In reply to MichaelPrescott [2012-06-21 15:46:29 +0000 UTC]
well- its not sandstone. its very hard material.in their first dive they couldnt take samples because it was to hard to break. i think they snatched samples in the second dive. they say its black inside- so no sandstone. the Ocean Explorer team is a team of treasure hunters- they discovered this but they already said they will turn it over to a team of "real scientists" so it can be analyzed with better equipment. nobody knows what material it is. yet.

I just love the picture of the naked guy jumping in the water on the Ocean X website )))oh, those science guys sure know how to have fun!
In any case awesome piece, m8! Can't wait to see more as the mystery unravels.... I rly hope it's a derelict UFO you know...petrified & stuff... so they can go inside and study it and all that... so the government can then cover it up and say it's just a regular rock formation formed by regular natural causes all regular and stuff bla bla. Government totally sucks!

oh yes - it intrigues me for almost a year now ! the anomaly is going to be revealed in its full glory very soon- we are just waiting for the new data to be released. then we will have 3d rendering of the anomaly and the sea floor around it. but painting this already made me feel a bit better.this has been visualized and discussed to the tiniest detail in the facebook group... so it was a tough job to match the expectations. luckily it almost painted itself...i just "closed my eyes" and threw it on canvas.
and people over at the OX-group are happy with it so iΒ΄m really satisfied.but it wont last long, soon iΒ΄ll have to do a new version.
