part 8: Not quite at Abominable

Bio

"Mumbai, India. A city rivaling Tokyo in population and activity. It's no wonder the city was targeted. Shanghai and Beijing, big cities in China were getting pumeled as well, only Shanghai by Anguirus and Beijing by Gorosaurus."

"Don't forget that Sasori and Kumonga fought each other in Las Vegas!" Tatsuo droned in.

"Right, right. Well, King Cobra was let loose in Mumbai, and boooooy did that serpent strike a chord of panic. People in that part of the world hate cobras, so it was almost a perfect, no resistance ploy by the Xilians to realease him there. They fled in terror, some attempting to escape by sea or air, only to be met by the claws of Ebirah and the massive buzzards created from Red Bamboo's expiraments. Mumbai was in serious danger, and the EDF sent the best help they could muster. The Atragon, the Gotengo's sister ship, arrived and managed to keep the monsters from advancing, as they couldn't reach the airship by their ground bound strength alone. However, things changed.

A few days earlier, out in the Himilayas, one of SCALE's monsters broke loose and headed south, It resembled the mythical yeti to the Sherpa people, and so the beast was dubbed 'Yetrigar.' In reality, it was a mutated Gibbon, granted size, strength, and decent legs. The beast was eager for freedom and somehow managed to find his way there. Seeing the Atragon, it, I believe, was driven to anger at the sight of the machine. Must have reminded him of the genetic expiraments or something.

Well, anyway, Yetrigar began throwing boulders at the airship, boulders big enough to cause damage. The Atragon couldn't last with the Xilians and the SCALE mutant bombarding it, and so....the Atragon was destroyed. Sad, but the people had no time to mourn. A new monster emerged from a strange light in the sea. From that light, there was a pillar of flame, and from that flame....came King Caesar. The guardian had seen the despair this battle was inflicting upon the people, and decided that he would personally end it.

The Xilians fired their mind control ray at him, only to be reflected by his gem like eyes, causing the ship to crash land. The monsters then charged, only to be mercilessly chopped, palm thrusted, and roundhouse kicked by the Monster Master. But, Yetrigar was capable of fighting back. As I said before, mind controlled monsters rarely defeat natural ones in combat, and Yetrigar was nobody's fool. He even went so far as to mimic King Caesar's movements, much like the ape he was. Well, and I'm gonna cut this a bit short, suddenly a lightning bolt struck. From that....came Kong. Yetrigar was then effortlessly tossed aside by the massive gorilla's strength, and then he, I kid you not, helped King Caesar up. The two seemed to know each other. Yetrigar, standing up to defend himself, only to stand dumbfounded at the sight of Kong. He didn't attack, rather, he just stared. It's strange...."

"Are you trying to tell me that Yetrigar had a boy crush on Kong!?"Eric was a bit lost for words, obviously it was strange for the imaginative to picture.

"That, or something like it. Well, Kong and Shiisa decided it was time to move on, there were other battles to be won. Before they left, though, Kong did something a little strange. He turned, gave a 'stay here and don't cause any trouble!' face to Yetrigar, and strangely enough he obliged."

"Well...about this time, we-"

"Hold on!" Eric interrupted. "Keni-I mean, Commander, you said 'Shiisa' and not Caesar just now. Is it not one or the other? Tatsuo insisted on Shiisa when I first talked to him."

"It's an iffy one." Kenichi said. "Shiisa, from what Moll and Lora tell us, is his true name, but Caesar is whats in the databases. It's really just a personal choice. I slip between the two a bit."

"If I may continue....." Tatsuo glared at them, steamed. "Many fights were nearing completion at this point. But, there was one other big fight going on with SCALE, and this one was perhaps the strangest. Now we come... to Singapore."

note: Yetrigar is another critter from the Godzilla Marvel comic. In it, he was a sasquatch mutated while in cryogenic sleep, but this is obviously a little different.
