(Name still in heavy limbo) This guy on the left is my current effort at getting a distinctive ape-like monster made. Succintly put, he's a draugr-like being that was granted power to overcome death and wants to be the greatest of warriors known. He's been awakened in modern day and seeks to conquer the known world the viking way, by wrecking it! His design is still in flux, I love the top half save a few awkward bits, but the legs are still being tweaked. The idea is that he's becoming less sapient and more blindly destructive, with natural elements beginning to blend into him. He can change his size, warp his anatomy, including the weapons impaled in him, which can shift into part of his body (think axe hands) and is a lot stronger than he looks. Any help on how to better make him look suitably monstrous would be appreciated.

Vosk: (You guys should remember this) Its existence is known to very few. The details of its emergence are only exactly known by a few russian scientists, most of which are long dead. Called 'Primorg' by the allies, it was found buried in arctic ice and was nearly resurrected by axis forces in world war 2. A covert allied team of american, english, canadian and russian forces managed to prevent this, but not before some of its dna could be extracted. Its emergence in the depicted form in rural russia, namely on a remote island in the arctic, in the 50's provoked heavy hostillities, eventually resulting in the dropping of tsar bomba to prevent it from reaching the mainland. Its a genetic sponge, absorbing dna and making the features encoded within their own. No one knows where it came from, and no one wants to meet the ones who do. Basically a cosmic horror bit and an homage to a few of my favorite science horror films.
