It's this time of the year again, 'M so glad my old team members are united once again for the most intense trail in history Green lights for the russian Suicide race

He exhaled slowly, his heart racing excitingly in his chest, while his gaze wandered off to the big areal in front of them.
Raphaels body tensed, still sore from the week long road trip. Hell he was getting too old to stir a car for more than ten solid hours a day, yet said driving time nine days in a row. Feeling every bone in his back he steadily walked to the back of his '67 Pick Up to gather his last supplies for the trail. The deep snow made a satisfying crunch sound each time he stepped down. All the other bags were already packed and stacked firmly on Dubai, leaving only small essentials behind. He figured the paint stallion would play the stronger part of the two horses to follow him around the best, so he stacked him with all the basic supplies, leaving his other mare bare, at least for now. The only things left in the car were an extra winter coat and a long heavy leather pouch. He grabbed them both and grinned to himself, because he knew the leader bag was hiding his dear old rifle and a solid iron sword. You never know when you run out of bullets, and the russian snow desert isn't exactly an ammo shop. Tucking the bag on the side of Dubais back and the Winter coat ontop of Athaals naked body, he once again checked if everything is in it's rightful place. When Raphael was sure everything is sitting neat and tight where it belongs, be unbound the three horses from the behind of his Chevy el Camino and made his way to the place where all entrants are supposed to gather before the race should begin. Cheasad was saddled, Athaal was save from the biting cold wind with her very own pelt jacket and Dubai was packed and good to go. 'This year everything will be exactly like we planned, I promise', he whisperd a silent promise. It's what he told himself more than he could count, and he's still so nervous. This year will be something entirely different, and Russia won't go easy on him in this fight for survival. All three of them were walking towards the little group of early participants, and Raphael could already make out some familiar faces. His heart jumped once again with a new rush of adrenaline, and the tall man took a moment to face his grey companion at his side. 'I promise I'll keep you safe, friend'. He reached out to Cheasad and tucked a stray strand of his mane away from his eye. The tall horse simply nuzzled him with his soft nose, as if he wanted to let Raphael now that he understands. Behind the two of them Athaal and Dubai began to pull on their leashes, and before he could react Dubai broke free. He know the ropes were bound around their necks, so the first worry that shot in his mind wasn't the fear of them stomping on it. Cheasad, as relayable as the giant grey horse was, stood where Raphael let go of him and didn't move any further, so his owner could take care of the free running stallion. Just as Athaal intented to jump away and run from him, he got a hold on her rope and made sure she couln't get away. Dubai in comparison took in all the new freedom he had gained and bucked around happily, and luckily not far away from Raphael. In his rush of energy Dubai sprang towards Athaal, his front rear raised in playful agression, and just as he passed the mare, a strong jolt pulled at his holster. As the stallion rushed next to the Zlesdin, Raphael was able to reach out and grab the stray. No running away today. He let the stallion catch some air because he was visibly panting in the biting cold air, and when everyone seemed to be under control again, they continued their walk. Raphael send a short pray towards the sky that Dubai didn't break loose whilst they where around with other horses, he's still a stallion for all that's worth.

Standing next to their horses, some still saddling their steeds, the first group of Riders came into view. Raphael was more than glad to spot Vidar, Kimberley, Kenneth and others, and even his newest addition to his stable staff Ragna in the group, while some faces where still new to him. This is going to be more than exciting this year!
