Trying to get the control over her I led her canter in circles and as a side effect I gained distance from the group. Fuck. They were nearly out of sight as the sky continued to darken itself--"

man sieht dem bild richtig das wachsende schnee-chaos an
raphael sieht schon ein bisschen verzweifelt aus, so wie es ihm da den schnee und den wind um die ohren haut DX
und dann auch noch dieser tolle hintergrund... die bΓ€ume sind so schΓΆn gemalt! auf ersten blick kΓΆnnte ich gar nicht sagen obs gemalt oder gar ein foto ist, es wirkt so extrem realistisch. besonders durch die schatten im schnee am boden

It's pretty common in Trail riding. First of all you can tie your horse on objects way easier than chanching the whole tack when you are about to take a break. Also keeps the head in a compfortable work position if you want to.
