I thought the movie was pretty good; a pity the crits didn't like it. No, I'm not a fan of Gerard Butler (I like Raoul more
... but the hair isn't really nice
) *ahem* Hmm ok, this is mostly a mouse job (I only used tablet for hair, eyelashes and eyebrow). At least this attempt is slightly better than my previous 2 attempts at "realistic" art
Update: I texturised the whole pic. Didn't like the very smooth skin. Close up: [link] Used *MayYeo 's method of texturising.
Another update: Changed eyes ages ago, just didn't bother to upload the final until now.

i can tell this IS done by you, the mouth and nose aren't quite exact, which is a good thing because it indicates you did this yourself.

Amazingly realistic rendition of Gerard Butler's Phantom, and, a very, very useful referance for the mask, hehe. I'm a brand new Phan myself, but instead of just looking up to the Phantom, I'm actually auditioning for the part very soon.

I think I get what you mean. The original photo has the highlights on the irises, and I merely followed the reference pic. I guess it's the color of the eyes and the whites; they seem rather out of place. I did fix them some time ago, but lazy me didn't bother to upload it

That texture really helps separate this from a lot of awesome digital pieces... that sounds bad, but what I mean is... digital often looks "too good to be true," unrealistic in its "smoothness" so to speak. WIth the texture, this looks so much more real!
I'm loving the eyes... there's so much there, met by the set of the mouth, as well. Awesome.

Actually I hated the eyes:/ They are the most unrealistic part of the pic. Anyway it was my first try doing eyes, so I didn't take it too hard on myself. Thanks for the comment anyway^^
