Well, a new year dawns upon us and I decided perhaps it's time for a new project. I might be starting a new universe, 2k16.

Bruce Wayne, born a rich kid, his parents were killed, you know all that. Throughout his adolescence he obsessed over solving his parents murder, and preventing others from going through the pain he did. He also wanted to keep fit and trained in case he ever had to defend himself or those he cares about, with boxer Ted Grant taking a shine to the young boy and training him. However although Grant's training improved helped young Wayne massively, he decided that this wasn't enough to achieve what he wanted, and sought extra guidance. He travelled Asia for a while, deliberately associating with criminals to learn their ways but gets arrested in China for theft and is thrown into a prison there. He gets into a prison brawl which catches the attention of a prominent martial artist Master Wong Fei. Fei has much influence over the area in which Wayne is deterred and convinced the guards to release him from prison, taking Wayne under his wing for several years to train his mind and body.

Wayne then travels back to Gotham after the completion of his training. He first makes large media attention of his return, saying he took a four year vacation to "get away from the stress of Gotham" with rumours alleging he left America due to tax avoidance or he went mad. After spending several months getting Wayne Enterprises into shape, he decided to begin vigilantism, first simply wearing black street clothes then deciding he needed an identity to scare the criminals of Gotham. He eventually came up with the Batman persona, first creating a makeshift suit with less than practically long and outstretched ears, then eventually with help from Lucious Fox creating a more high tech suit made by Wayne Enterprises for the military. He also acquired a vehicle to help him get to crime scenes faster.

Currently in 2016, he has been active as the Batman for around a year, with him remaining an urban legend for the time being however the urban legend is gaining an increasing amount of credibility and people believing in its existence. He is also coming across more "colourful" opponents, with him starting out with petty criminals but gradually battling more dangerous foes.
