in the american version of Digimon The Movie ( which is a combination of the two Digimon Adventure 01 movies and the first Digimon Adventure 02 movie, with about 40 min. edited out) Willias, the american digidestined received a digi-egg at the same time that Tai and Kari recived their digi-egg(which later revealed a HUGE agumon the size of a car, which later turned into a HUGE greymon the size of american godzilla)any way, Willias got a pair of twin digimon, he calls them Terriermon and Kokomon.....of which is half true...the light pink glob with three horns is Kokomon( in Tamers it's dark brown)...the light green blob is Gummymon...not Terriermon. Willias wants more digimon (two ain't enough?) so he makes a digi-egg on the internet...the digi-egg is attacked by a virus and transformed into a digimon/virus named Tsumemon, then he turns to Kuramon (called Kare-ra-mon in the film however) then it begins to eat the internet..shoping malls...baseball..phones....and the U.S.and A's nuke program... then he turns into infermon by skipping his champion state....then he turns into Diaboromon... then he gets killed..and the virus tracks down kokomon and transforms him into wedigomon....but Willias still keeps calling him Kokomon...through out the entire movie... anywhoo by this time Gummymon is now Terriermon.. and then Terriermon digivovles to Gargomon and beats on Wedigomon (still called Kokomon) Gargomon looses...another fight...Terriermon digivolves to gargomon and Wedigomon digivolves to Antelemon and then to Kerpymon...still called Kokomon...then he gets blasted by Magnadramon(called Egg-ag-na-mon for soem reason) and Seraphemon...blah blah blah he dies and turns into Konomon....then dies....(still called Kokomon...)....
the main thing is this....
on the cover of my VHS copy of Digimon The Movie.....there is Terriermon in his normal look (despite a slight unicorn look to his horn) and a very strange looking Lopmon....a White Furred Lopmon with Darkgreen markings.....imagine my surprise when I watched Tamers and saw a Brown and pink Lopmon instead of the Dark green and white one from the movie....maybe it's a different one all together....

It was a miscolor, actually! You see, the designers for the movie cover confused Lopmon with Terriermon and basically gave them the same color palette.

I believe it has something to do with the digievolução for viruses, where it was dark green, there was the possibility of being attacked ...
It may also be that Kokomon not be Chocomon at all in the film Kokomon is pink and the tamers Chocomon is brown and error was to move to film and anime, being placed to be the same, when in fact they were triplets.

It's because of this movie that I never discovered that Lopmon existed until about two years ago. -.-

oh yea, even when I was little I noticed the problem and it's bothered me ever since. but I think there was movie concept art of Lopmon and the color was correct, though I don't know if what I've found is totally certified legit

what gets me is that they gave me a lopmon card when saw the film that was white. but i never saw him in the movie so i dont have the card anymore

Maybe the card was made by Americans? Or maybe they wanted to have a different coloured lopmon to show that they're twins? It's all so confusing...

Fans consider it to be an error on the movie poster. Lopmon has always been brown and pink (fitting in with the color of his evolutions).

this submission is one of my older ones, and i've kept it like this because i like hearing everyone's opinion on why they gave lopmon the white and green look on the VHS cover.
lopmon is not even IN digimon the movie, he's only on the cover.
my guess is that it's a dub error, they got his color wrong int he movie, then they got his gender wrong in season 3

Err, Tamers Lopmon is one of the Devas that was de-evolved as a punishment for siding with Shaochung (Suzy). I doubt it's the same Lopmon that 1.-Was born in the human world and 2.-Already had a tamer.
I doubt Shaochung's Lopmon had two tamers, or that it was born outside the Digital World to then come into it and become a Deva.
If it would be the case to just compare two digimon based on their species and believe they're the same just because of it, then how about Taichi's and Masaru's Agumons? They're both Agumon but differently shaped does that make them the same and a design error? No, they're just redesigns, like what happened to Falcomon.
So that is, Agumon and Falcomon got redesigned to appear in Savers, Lopmon was redesigned to appear in Tamers.

both agumons are subspecies of each other. cuz in the new digimon game you can have both. the adventure agumon is called classic

This Terriermon (movie one) looks weird. What's with the eyes?
And Lopmon at least has the horns, and 2 pointed collar like real Lopmon XD And the proper eyes XD
TBH, I always thought the one in front of Willis' feet was Terriermon, not Lopmon, because of the eyes and such. I was confused about the points and horns XD

i hear it's a artist error, but i did get a digimon card that had the same markings and was labeled as lopmon...i wish i had kept it...my dad said the card would be worth money someday and darnit i can't find it

@Valforwing: The digimon name is Antylamon (the one before Cherubimon).
As for the white version I never got that either, though it would make sence if this mistake was because of making a whole new cover for the english version. I think Lopmon is origionally suppost to be brown with pink markings.

it was in english and it said lopmon, i got it when i walked in the door at the theater. i kept thinking i would see a white and green digimon named lopmon in the movie but he never appeared...i wish i still had the card, i collect digimon stuff and it stucks that i lost it

Oh, and I think I forgot to mention that in the japanese version, Diaboromon & Willis had no connection. To add to the story, 4kids just put in there that Willis was the one who created Diaboromon because he wanted another digimon.
P.S. Yeah that sucks, and they shouldn't have given that kind of card, it'd just confuse kids. I didn't get to see it in the theatre, so I didn't get the card, though I did get 2 cards when I saw the Yu-gi-Oh movie with a friend (they were only suppost to give you one, but for some reason my friend & I were each given 2 & between the 2 of us, we had all 4 cards!).

i was given 2 cards at the yugioh movie too.
i actually love the english version of digimon. 4kids actually did something cool with that (i hate all over 4kids edits...though yugioh is a fave too but thats for nostalgia reasons)

I think the english digimon is ok I guess, it has it's quirks, still would like to see the origional though. I also got the mew card for the (1st?) pokemon movie. Stopped watching yugioh awhile ago (got too "out there" for me if ya know what I mean).

actually Kokomon is the baby or in training form of lopmon i think it is spelled Chocomon in some translations though...
(like when u see the green and pink baby digimon with willas in the flashbacks....thats Kokomon)
the rookie state is Lopmon but depending on the artist it will be either dark brown with pink marks or white with dark green marks..
the champion form is Wedigomon (the big brown sasquatch lookign digimon)
ultimate form is ....crap...it shows up in season 3 it's a big bunny.
and it's mega form is Cherubimon (both the dark and light versions are both called cherubimon)
at least this is the digivolution line of the lopmon from Digimon Adventures....the lopmon in Tamers might have a different digivolution line.

also lopmon in tamer is actually a boy but they mistranslated him as a girl and had already aired the episodes before they were informed of the mistake.

I go beat up alot when i was little and watched digimon all the friggan time to make up for the lack of friends and shit.

well it was'nt really the brutality of the attacks from my fellow students....it was the fact that boys twice my size were beating up on me, a little girl, and getting away with it completely all because they were hispanic and the teachers said they "just did'nt understand english" the same bully put staples in the bacl of my head and the teacher gave me detention saying that i was disrupting the class...yeah..i'm so glad I moved away from Benton.

not that far away, from Benton to Little Rock, i go from 0 friends and lots of mean bullies to haveing a shitload of anime/game fanatic friends who i go on convention trips ever 6 months with and have slumber parties!....considering that i'm the only girl in the group i'm surprized we've been friends like this so long. 2005 was when we first became friends and now we hang out even more.

i guess so, this month's been pretty tough, my grampa passed away on the first...Oh wait...it's december now...heh i had a anime convention to go to that did'nt turn out so good but hopefully december will be better.. my family's going off to vegas for christmas and new years but i cna't miss that much work so i'm gona stay here and have a slumberparty with my buds...although we probabaly won't be sleeping, we'll be playing the wii,gamecube,ps1,ps2,ps3,xbox.xbox360, and maybe a nintendo 64 if we cna find it...i want to show them the metal gear solid movie i found.
