in the american version of Digimon The Movie ( which is a combination of the two Digimon Adventure 01 movies and the first Digimon Adventure 02 movie, with about 40 min. edited out) Willias, the american digidestined received a digi-egg at the same time that Tai and Kari recived their digi-egg(which later revealed a HUGE agumon the size of a car, which later turned into a HUGE greymon the size of american godzilla)any way, Willias got a pair of twin digimon, he calls them Terriermon and Kokomon.....of which is half true...the light pink glob with three horns is Kokomon( in Tamers it's dark brown)...the light green blob is Gummymon...not Terriermon. Willias wants more digimon (two ain't enough?) so he makes a digi-egg on the internet...the digi-egg is attacked by a virus and transformed into a digimon/virus named Tsumemon, then he turns to Kuramon (called Kare-ra-mon in the film however) then it begins to eat the internet..shoping malls...baseball..phones....and the U.S.and A's nuke program... then he turns into infermon by skipping his champion state....then he turns into Diaboromon... then he gets killed..and the virus tracks down kokomon and transforms him into wedigomon....but Willias still keeps calling him Kokomon...through out the entire movie... anywhoo by this time Gummymon is now Terriermon.. and then Terriermon digivovles to Gargomon and beats on Wedigomon (still called Kokomon) Gargomon looses...another fight...Terriermon digivolves to gargomon and Wedigomon digivolves to Antelemon and then to Kerpymon...still called Kokomon...then he gets blasted by Magnadramon(called Egg-ag-na-mon for soem reason) and Seraphemon...blah blah blah he dies and turns into Konomon....then dies....(still called Kokomon...)....
the main thing is this....
on the cover of my VHS copy of Digimon The Movie.....there is Terriermon in his normal look (despite a slight unicorn look to his horn) and a very strange looking Lopmon....a White Furred Lopmon with Darkgreen markings.....imagine my surprise when I watched Tamers and saw a Brown and pink Lopmon instead of the Dark green and white one from the movie....maybe it's a different one all together....

oh I know that but if you look at terriermon from adventure he is lime and white, where as terriermon from tamers is dark green and white. since their both major charecters it can be confuzing for some people when compairing seasons. with agumon from adventure and agumon from data/savers I really have no idea why they made him look like he does...the red bands are cool but his nose is hidious!

i have to agree on that one. I suppose it's a more evolved version of Agumon? although savers is more linked to the Digimon World games than anything else. And yea. it was probably done to prevent confusion. As long as we remember that they are the same species, it's all good.

well more like a sub species then. like Agumon and Big Agumon (the agumon from the first part of the movie.)
Big agumon is very different than the agumon from the show, for one thing greymon in the show was more upright, wheras tai's first agumon was more like a T-Rex build and alot bigger. plus his attacks are Nova Flame (and tai's second greymon later in the movie uses Nova Blast)

Actually, in the Japanese, that is just and Agumon with Gigantism. They called it Big Agumon when the movie was dubbed to prevent people from believing that it was Tai's Agumon.

I don't care what was wrong with that agumon the one from the movie was ausome! imagin if tai got his first agumon back. i bet with a HUGE metal greymon and wargreymon he could kick any foe's butt!

Same for the Angewomon on the Cover, who does not only have only 6 wings ( should be 8 ), the structure and color is also wrong.

i know, but even stranger is that i was given a lopmon card that had the same markings as the one on the cover when i went to see this movie..sadly i don't have a clue what happend to that card.

yeah...but i grew up with digimon season 1 english version...and i've grown to love it. i did'nt have any friends till i was in 9th grade. so my only concept of friends when i was younger was the digidestined. i was a pretty loney kid.

I also thought this and got confused, but, if I remember right, I THINK Lopmon wasnt called Lopmon in the original. But I may be wrong. I THINK this. (I wouldnt put it past them tho. I mean, Gatomon was actually called "Tailmon" and Salamon was "Plotmon") But Im intrigued now, I'll have a look around the net some more

in the digimon movie, lopmon is called kokomon through out the entire film through it's various stages, even though kokomon is it's pink squishy version. and i think tailmon is gatomon's in-training form, as salamon is her rookie form. nyaomon may be the japanese name for gatomon though.

nononono. tailmon is the jap name for gatomon, gatomon is a champion, but many theorize that she was weakened into a rookie state when she lost her tail ring.

okays.... i know gatomon is a champion. but u ever seen her dark counterpart? it's a black and purple gatomon that turns into lady devimon,....what i want to know si what does the mega form? since angewomon is light and lady devimon is darkness *simular to angemon and devimon)

Its the english editors to blame. They edited what? 40 mins worth of the film? Changed the story around completely (Originally, they were out to rescue the original chosen children.) They changed alot of it, and, I think the front cover of the English VHS/DVD was designed and drawn BY one of the English Digimon staff. I think it was a mistake throughout basically. And also, Nyaromon really was her in-training form, Salamon was originally called Plotmon, and Gatomon was originally called Tailmon. As for Lopmon, I found the katakana for his name and it is "Ropumon" so "Lopmon" is the right translation (As the japanese dont use/say "l" in the language, they say "r" instead, and other stuff.) I can also say that "Kokomon" was actually called "Chokomon". I think this whole thing is the Digimon English staff's fault. Lets all blame them!

i actually like the original digimon english staff, i grew up watching digimon season 1, i hated season 2 all the kids were alot older, ( i started watching when i was in elementary school and then season 2 comes out and all the kids are in junior high..foofi)
ate davis, all of the digidestiend/tamers main charecters are always a tad bit arrogent (excludeing Takato,) but davis takes the cake, jeeze he's an idiot and he's so obnoxious, tai is annoying at times but he's got i where it counts. thats kewl that u have the original japanese version, i've never seen it, but i did see Digimon The Movie in theaters when it first came out, i was like the only one watching it though. by the way do you know where i cna find the Digimon american OST, like the music that plays while Omnimon is formed, or when Tai getssucked in the computer? i've only found the japanese soundtracks, or the theme songs to the english series or the songs sung in the movie, but i can't find the digimon english scores,...like the tune that Botamon plays with bubbles with Kairi playing along, or while tai blows the whiste to wake up greymon (the old greymon died? what happened to him, is he the greymon fought in the skullgreymon episode?) there is music playing in the background of the american version. that music is an importnt part of my life but i can't find it anywhere

BigGreymon (english fanname) used up all his power to fend off Parrotmon, yes. It is likely his data was then used to create Koromon's digitama for the series.

Hehe, I understand liking the dub, but I resent it also. Its VERY complicated, but I ADORE the jap.! I can write an essay on why I love Daisuke (Davis) But I understand why people disliked him. I loved him tho. (Not as much as Taichi tho. XD) And I saw it to. Gave me nightmares (Endigomon and Diaboramon *shudders*) And no, I dont believe they're the same. And wow! Did you know that they replaced the entire musical score throughout the dub? The Jap. seriously, was SO much better. Like the opening. I hate it. "Digimon digital monsters; Digimon are the champions!" Over and over! I ADORE the opening for the jap. though. It sounds GREAT. Have you heard it? And as for that music, I doubt you'll be able to find it, what I suggest is you record it, or something.XD
