Deep Ones are not the biggest fish in the sea. Not by a long shot. Shoggoths in particular go out of their way to hunt them in vengeance for aeons of sorcerous control. When that control was broken in 1938 the resulting population crash was one of the reasons that Deep Ones went unnoticed in the 20th and 21st centuries.Related content
