He thought maybe that big wolf that he'd seen lurking around the fields had taken them but he was pretty sure a wolf would eat more than just the face and genitals. He was also pretty sure there'd be tracks or drag marks?

It was like something had flown it miles out into the desert and just dropped it there.

The stress was really getting to him. He could barely sleep and when he did, he had weird nightmares.

Gigantic owls swooping down from impossible heights, their shadows glowing like radiation, pecking his cows apart.
