It depends on what she's feeding it too! It would usually be the local equivalent to fat and protein to serve as a base for her bio-modifier cells to work. Mostly it serves as a healing agent and general health booster but prolonged use can lead to reactive-mutation in response to harmful stimuli. For example a Milk drinker who gets burned a lot might develop insulated skin or secrete a flame retardant oil. It's similar to but far less dramatic than her Moit's ability to conform to a new planetary environment. A smaller side-effect is known as the Goat's Kiss to the Tsan-chan, a shiny black patch of skin that sometimes manifests during a Milk aided healing session. Some people think that getting Goat's Kisses or a beneficial Milk mutation is proof that they're worthy of undergoingΒ gof'nn hupadgh but it hasn't been proven.
Ran has a Goat Kiss on his upper thigh that's shaped like a seven pointed star! He got it after he broke his leg at 12, launching himself from the creche-park swing. He likes to think that the Kiss shows that the Queen and the Consort approve of a little fun risk taking.

i love the goat eyes in shubby's cloud, also... since goats only exist on Earth i imagine it could manifest different types of eyes depending on which planet shubby is in, it is supposed to be some kind of high-dimensional bio-computer womb beast after all.

Honestly I think it's just a coincidence. She and her progeny have just enough goat-like qualities that the ancient Muvians connected her to them.
