Description
One of the major landmarks of the southern desert. It was constructed in ancient times to house tens of thousands of people and protect them from the ravages of the Cthulhu Wars. Unfortunately for its residents it instead stole their dreams and trapped their souls within, growing rampant off the psychic energy of their information shadows.
Nothing lives in the vicinity aside from some brave desertΒ whip-poor-wills, everything else has been driven off by hunting glassgeists looking to feed the Spire. Even the starspawn avoid it, not liking the way it tugs on their thoughts. Maybe it worked after all, in a way?

I drew this thing a while back in Strange Aeons - Landscapes 2 but I wasn't happy with it. This version looks much better!

Oh you know, total isolation aside from vague desires from the glass, never being able to rest, your ghostly senses being constantly scrambled and a constant maddening tugging from within as the glass you're trapped in sucks on your information shadow.Β

I like the new organic texture and pastel colors you gave the glassgeist spire. I canβt help but compare this thing to the Cluster in βSteven Universeβ.
Iβm not asking this to make fun of you but because Iβm genuinely curious: if the hypothetical player would confront this thing, is it an option to give this tortured monster a pep-talk about finding peace within itself?

I'm not sure the situation is quite similar enough to the cluster for that to be an ideal outcome.
The main problems the Mighty Children would need to solve to settle things:
-The Glass itself is non-sentient and doesn't understand that its actions harm others.
-The Glass eats Sothic energy and the easiest source of it is the ghosts of sentients, making it a predator.
-The ghosts it has collected as batteries have mostly gone mad from isolation.
I don't think it's necessarily fair to just kill the Glass. The best solution might be to exorcise the ghosts to just free them and then set the Glass up with a Astral conduit of its own and hope it adapts to a grazing strategy.
Maybe stick around and do some glass-gardening just to make sure.
There are a few more extreme solutions like awakening it somehow and then teaching it right from wrong. Or you could just dump the whole mass into the Astral sea itself and oops a new Drowner.

Now here's a pretty alien-looking construct.
