Soooo...Update with first layer of paint(two more layers needed for the white)...which is rather messy...I actually painted the first layer of gold last night but I dont have a picture of that...and since Im bored at work I had to post something
-As you see I finished the construction of the gauntlets and put them together...i added a bracelet-ish plate to bring out the high elf-ness...At the moment I'm thinking about adding big "knuckledusters"...to make it look more...hmm...brutal oO'
-Futhermore...At the moment I'm working on a Tunic, a cape, arm armour, a gabeson...and some other stuff...and a week to finish it all before we leave for germany and the Conquest of Mythodea...its gonna be a blast

I don't know if you've played Runescape but this reminds me a lot of, or to seems reminiscent of, a kind of Armadyl style of armour. Very nice, intricate and ornate. And built quite light. It's extremely impressive.

heh...there actually a whole bunch of LARP equipment from "my" compagny in that trailer...which is funny because we didnt know anything about the movie XD

-Yeah I dont really like rivets for anything else than decoration so I try to avoid them...I dont really know why. I think that it was because everyone used an xcessive amount of rivets back when I started Oo
-On the High Elf armour I dont really like the stitching either...but its hard to hide it all ><

I found rivets to be unreliable at times. I've had a few pop on me. I'm starting to lean more toward stitching myself.
