The point of this code is the black background. There are codes for transparent scroll boxes somewhere. Maybe CypherVisor got one. ^^ If you can't find it, feel free to come back to me. I'll put something together then.

I've been searching high and low, re-wording my search and browsing through people's galleries who provide these codes, but can't find any.

It seems to be a code designed for that layout. I'm working on a code for a stand-alone box. Planned in white and transparent. You can see the progress on my profile, bottom left, Testarea. It's 1:30am now though. Gotta sleep. xD Expect a first version tomorrow.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you asking if it's possible to give the background a fixed position, so it doesn't scroll with the content? In that case, I have not yet found a way to do that. If your background is too short, you either have to make it longer, or you can use the code below to make your whole custom box a scroll box.

Yes, that is part of dA's code. It changes the cursor to a loading cursor. I havn't found a way to fix that yet.

I do have a question, though. Is there a way to widen the scrolling boxes.
I changed the "250" to "100" in this section:

in order to shorten the boxes to the height I wanted, but I've been playing with the "width" sections and haven't been able to widen the boxes any. (See the "My Groups" custom box on my profile for where I'm trying to employ this code.)

There currently is no way to make the boxes wider. The max width of content on profiles is 300 something... You used to be able to stretch it using an image wider than that. But they seem to have fixed it.

I know this question really isn't related to your scrolling boxes, however I have run into a problem with some coding that it looks like you have well-resolved above. And I've searched all morning for the coding or example that I need, but so far, yours is the only one that even comes close to what I'm trying to accomplish. c:

Me and some of my fellow admins in this group have been working on the coding for our journals and such. The only problem we have run into is that we can't seem to get the Leader box to realign itself to the middle. I was hoping you could help me, or even give me some advice on how I should go about fixing this, if you know how.

I've been looking around these Custom Box Scroll Bared Content holder tutorials and yours I understand for some reason the best.
I've been playing around with just the large box. (The one you have on the bottom) and I've been trying to find out how to change the colour. (Black.)

So, you want my specifically for the black color coded content box.... to be not black? xD Umm... Ok. That means I can clear the code of all the stuff needed to make it black and somehow get a different background in there... No problem, I think. Give me a few min... *rapes keyboard like crazy*
Havn't tested this code too much, so tell me how it works.
Depending on how much content you want to put into this, you will have to adjust the bold 500 to something bigger. It sets the length of the background image. If it's too small, you have a white area in the bottom of the scroll box, though a small white line is normal. If you want a different background, change the bold URL.

This is the code for the big scroll box, without headline and such. Can't guarantee that it works perfectly fine, I think there was a problem when removing the headline. But I'm willing to help out there.

That problem occurs because you didn't put enough content in the box to stretch it to it's full length. I havn't found an easy solution to that yet... ^^'
