love it! I love Liv Tyler
as in matter of fact, will hold a contest and we want more and more to participate in but the prizes aren`t that attractive, since we don`t quite have points
will you please donate some points to this cause? For details, read the group`s journal or contact the founder or me
Thank you for your time!

Better ask "how long does it take you to answer questions"... hahaha
Well, it was my first EVER photorealistic portrait and it took me 90 hours I think. I am creating a new one [link] but it has already taken 20 hours and I am almost finished...

haha, no problem!
I think your other photo-realistic pic is too close to the face imo. I like this one here more!

I love stumbling onto works like this because my favored medium is colored pencil and trying to learn how to use color in realism can be difficult with no references. But thank goodness for talented artists like yourself that have seemingly mastered the trade and unknowingly teach the "beginners" like me with your work as an example of how it's done. This is so incredibly beautiful and the way everything is rendered is just stellar.

outstanding I had no idea you could do this with water color. I would love to watch your technique....

In fact I don't use water. Water color (soluble) pencils are soft so with a good use, they can give you nice effects. I have uploaded another portrait of marlon brando [link] (done with these color pencils) and here [link] and here [link] the progress
