I was bullied on a bus before. Every day when I went to school by three kids. One named Tayshahn (his name is REALLY hard to spell) Douglas, and Mathiew. i swear, if I ever saw those gutless f***fag again, I'd pound their dumb faces into the dirt. DEEP into the dirt. Memories of that Hellish year have me convulsing with hate. I feel angry at myself asking "Why didn't I defend myself?" If I ever met them again, I'd make them regret tormenting and intimidating me for a year.

Bullies are just petty, spoiled brats who have never suffered in their whole lives, period. Raised badly by their parents, they've had it drilled into their heads that they're better than everybody else and so act accordingly.
If I ruled the world, bullies would be executed and their bodies hung from trees and lampposts with signs saying "Ashley Longe, 1992 - 2012, I WAS A BULLY".
I'm sick and tired of the "boys will be boys" attitude we've adopted towards bullies. It's because we're too soft on bullies that we've seen all the horrible things happening to the people above. I've heard of one guy who has two personalities and severe anger issues because he was bullied.
Besides, who'd go to a bully's funeral anyway? They're driftwood, useless, garbage, and nobody needs that. They won't be missed. They always become junkies, felons, criminals or white trash with their 12 kids living on welfare, and in general never do anything with their lives, while the normal people become honest, hard-working and productive members of society.
Or else they become rich and famous and STILL bully people around. Once a bully, ALWAYS a bully. I've always said bullies are heartless, cruel and inhumane, with no morals, no conscience, no knowledge of love and friendship, and that they don't deserve to be referred to as human beings as they TORTURE and KILL people every day.
But society ADORES bullies and are happy to see them continue destroying people's lives. Society are PUSSIES, too scared to do what's RIGHT.
In fact a person who was bullied told me it was petty and tripe. I was like "Are you stupid?"
But that's baby stuff compared to one guy who wrote that bullying helps people go through social situations. I commented "How can you live with yourself?" Bullying DOES NOT prepare a person for life, it leaves scars and fractures that never heal. Just ask the many people out there who turned to booze and drugs to deal with the pain; it's there FOREVER.
People say that we need to be thicker-skinned and learn to stand up for ourselves, but they've never been bullied, so what the HELL do they know?

I say everyone who's been bullied should take revenge on their bullies.
Think: closure, justice, peace of mind. Knowing that they're being tortured in Hell where they belong, instead of hurting people on Earth.
It'd be much better than forgiving them, which only wimps do, or else believing the word of God which preaches pure COWARDICE and tells us we should lie down in front of them and make it easier for them to walk all over us.

I'm proud of you because you have common sense and SEE bullies for what they really are. You live in the REAL WORLD and don't believe all the stupid Sailor Scouts and hippies who support and encourage bullying.
I like that. The world needs more people like you.
Let's give bullying the respect it deserves.

Sailor Scouts? Wut?

You know bullies are often victims of abuse themselves. Doesn't make it right for them to hurt others, but their lives aren't wonderful either. They should get help, not be executed. Don't you think that saying no one would go to their funeral is the type of thing a bully would say? You're implying that no one cares about them and that they're worthless... isn't that what bullies say to their victims??

Also, you're telling people to kill their aggressors? So you'd rather them go to jail for life, then get help from a parent, teacher, or whoever else? And wouldn't this make them as bad as the bullies are? An eye for an eye makes the world blind, and all that jazz.

Besides, anger is a very consuming emotion. Resentment is like poison. These feelings will consume you and cloud your judgment and ruin your life. It's best to let things go; you don't have to forgive these people but you shouldn't let what they've done control your life. That's like letting them win because they own you.

And finally, forgiveness does not make you a wimp. I have difficulty forgiving and I envy those who can forgive. They are often much happier than I am, because I'm stewing in these negative emotions, while they are free from such things. It takes a STRONG PERSON to forgive someone who has wronged you.

I think in your efforts to end bullying, you better be careful not to turn into the same type of monster that you're trying to get rid of...

NecromancerAleius In reply to Oseltamivir [2012-11-30 14:49:26 +0000 UTC]

"You know bullies are often victims of abuse themselves." Not to be rude, but this sentence annoys me, mostly because it's overused like YOLO as a get-out-of-jail-free clause.
Think of it like this: How do we know the bully's not lying to gain sympathy?
The way I see it, that whole "victims of abuse" thing is basically bullies whining and blaming other people for their problems.
Besides, there are soooo many people who've been victimized but still grew up to be well-adjusted, because they focused their negative emotions into songs, stories, ect. instead of taking them out on innocent little kids who have nothing to do with their home life.
People always say that bullying is part of life and toughens you up for the real world, but I don't believe that junk.
Furthermore, bullies actually ARE worthless. When did a bully ever became a productive member of society? Probably never.
And on top of that, look at all the victims of bullying who ended up depressed and hung themselves. When't the last time a bully killed himself? No bully ever did, because they're so immensely popular, have all the friends in the world and are always happy and have never known any real pain or suffering. Why would someone like that want to take his own life?
Besides, we're already too soft on bullies, always falling for their little sob stories instead of seeing through them like we should, and we only show spite to kids who've been bullied, saying they were too thin-skinned, they wore their hearts on their sleeves, etc and then we wonder why kids these days are so messed up.
You can't just say that bullies shouldn't be executed; given how down-to-earth and realistic you are, I'd have thought you'd know that some people are just incorrigible and not worth bothering with, and bullies make up most of those people. As the saying goes, you can't polish a turd.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Oseltamivir In reply to NecromancerAleius [2012-12-04 06:37:38 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry if the truth being "overused" bothers you. I doubt bullies are lying about these things because most of them are too embarrassed to ever talk about what abuse they've endured in the first place. The whole purpose of the bullying is to give them a sense of power and worth that whoever abused them took from them.

It doesn't matter if others have undergone hardships and came out better people. Some people cannot adjust like that; some people aren't so strong. I'm just saying these people should be given help from psychologists and should have our pity because they are NOT incurable and they are suffering too. It's true that they shouldn't take their anger or pain out on others, but it's also unfair to judge them without knowing them at all and want them to simply be killed... To me, and most members of our society, that is insane. If you're going to execute a bully, then anyone who commits a crime should be executed. They're all hurting someone by doing wrong.

I don't think anyone should be blaming victims. It's wrong to tell them to just man up or whatever. Parents, counselors, etc. should intervene and get mental help for the bully just as they would any other mentally unstable individual, and should help the person being victimized as well.

Bullies can change just as anyone else can. You're being very narrow-minded if you think they are and always will be worthless people. Many grow up and regret the way they acted as kids, and become normal members of society.

And are you -really- going to assume no bully has ever killed himself? You sure you don't want to rethink that statement?

"Sailor Scouts? Wut?"
That's what I call those people who always tell us that we should love our bullies and all that tripe. Surely you've watched Sailor Moon at some point, you'll understand.

"You know bullies are often victims of abuse themselves."
Only one thing to say to that: don't believe everything you see in movies. They only sugarcoat reality and fill your head up with shit.

"So you'd rather them go to jail for life, then get help from a parent, teacher, or whoever else?"
Nobody ever tries to help victims of bullying anyway. And I'm not saying kill, but at least maim and hurt them the way they hurt you. That's all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Oseltamivir In reply to PsycheLock [2012-09-18 10:06:11 +0000 UTC]

Don't remember Sailor Moon much; watched it when I was a kid, and was too caught up with the fancy animations and powers to focus on whatever underlying messages they were sending. But as far as I remember, Sailor Moon and her friends always beat the crap out of the "bad guy".

I don't know about that being in movies, because I only watch horror movies. I'm talking about what I've read in books and online. I'm not saying all bullies have been victims but a significant amount of them have been either sexually abused or have been victimized in their homes or communities.

What is the point in hurting them back? You become the same type of person they are when you do that. Laws need to be adjusted so these bullies can be properly punished in a legal manner instead of getting a slap on the wrist. This would allow schools to better handle bullying as well.

This is completely true. I've heard it said that a little hazing (which some don't count as bullying, apparently) makes you stronger, but actually it robs you of the ability to trust people. I got hazed a lot during my first years of secondary school and now I can't look at a teenage girl without seeing them as a potential enemy.

And this is where I say THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! Do you know how many people commit suicide because of bullying? Too many to even imagine.... I sometimes wonder if some of the bullies can sleep at night knowing that they are making someone else's life Hell. I was bullied a lot during my time at school. It happens and there's no way to avoid it, but it annoys me to see these people do it to myself and others around me because they believe they have "Authority" over everyone.

People who bully have probably been bullied or are getting bullied... Or they just have problems at home, but no matter the excuse, it's not right. I thank you for making this! It will be displayed on my profile! !

Bullying has come to me in many forms in my life from friends, strangers, peers, and my family. If I didn't have my mental strength I would have committed suicide long before now. The worst thing is, no one notices when I flinch, or those days when I speak to no one. If they do, then they obviously don't care.

Thanks to bullying from kindergarten through 8th grade, I now have an anxiety disorder and trusting issues :c Causes major problems with my schoolwork now, in 9th grade, because I'm always afraid of being yelled at for something even though I know I've done nothing wrong.. I'm also really skittish and flinch a lot because of those years of abuse from my peers whenever someone, even a friend or a family member, touches me accidentally or pokes me or something.

So, in short, bullying has pretty much ruined my social/academic life and I feel stupid because I've never dared to tell anyone in fear of being thought of as weak. I'm terrified that my parents will discriminate me for it.
