Description Credits goes to for the BG ^_^

I dunno if the BG blends will with the two Templars chasing Ezio...
I might move this to scraps if after a few days...once I'm bothered by it.. but for now I'm not yet sure...
I couldn't finl any other stock BG to fit it so.. yea.. ended up with this but it isn't so bad XD
Originally there were 4 Templars there but I had to erase 2 otherwise the wallpaper would look weird....
don't those guys know that you can't out run a horse yet they still chase after Ezio
well hope you guys like it!

Not really, you asked how the neko got through the screen, and I instantly remembered the joke "How do you put a giraffe in a fridge?" Answer is to take the elephant out first. XD

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-09 10:18:16 +0000 UTC]

XD btw i'm kind of curious why did you pick the name Cheshire-shadow? is it because you like the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-09 10:25:29 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it was inspired by that.

I never thought I'd end up a robotic neko in the world of cyberspace. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-09 10:56:05 +0000 UTC]

thought so XD
Though i sometimes wonder what a robotic neko looks like :3

if i ever draw a char as a fusion of my two DA accounts to present me it might get shocking XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-09 10:59:20 +0000 UTC]

Kinda obvious. XD
Maybe I'll draw it one of these days.

That would be... interesting. :3

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-09 11:01:29 +0000 UTC]

cooool XD good luck! drawing robot or mecha like chars are hard well at least for me

It would XD If i did draw it..that char..could be counted as one of my oldest OC that's unknown probably about time to to bring him back XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-09 11:08:40 +0000 UTC]

No one said they would be entirely so! I hate those blocky, armor-like styles. I much prefer a streamlined, almost human style. XD

That sounds pretty cool, actually. I'd like to see it.

By the way, I decided I'd try GIMP again. The linework is crap, but I think this is great for coloring.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-10 23:54:08 +0000 UTC]

ooo XD

I'll show him to you guys soon but for now... He's under going an extreme make over haven't drawn him for years to be exact

Yea, gimp's line work is crap but the coloring is fine XD
will we see any of your gimp work soon? XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 04:41:03 +0000 UTC]

She will be purple and gold, as all my other personas wear that color to show who they are. (Royal colors were picked because they make me feel fancy, and I play god on them, anyway. lol)

Ah, just like all my others. So, what are you going for on the new look?

I love the coloring, really, but I should stick with paint for linework. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 05:06:45 +0000 UTC]

well I'll probably add jewels to him since he is a vampire XD maybe make his hair a bit longer and spikey or flowy.. depends XD but not long like a girl's... I'm tired of vampires with long girly hair...
and.. very fancy clothes too...or I'll make him an assassin..as slightly a AC fan char... maybe XD like i said he's under going a huge make over :3

Same here XD though i like to do line arts too XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 06:12:54 +0000 UTC]

Cool.

I think I'll go for spikey, since flowy hair is a little overdone. Yeah, I am as well, so I gave Damon a ponytail like mine but with a curl at the end.

Ooh, awesome! I'd certainly like to see this once it's done. One of the things I can look forward to. Huge makeovers are hard, so I tend to do them slowly to make it easier and so the character gets used to it. Major changes like gender don't happen often.

Yeah, they're fun, and much smoother than Paint.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 07:46:31 +0000 UTC]

yea =/ too much flowy hair now a days huh? sometimes chars with short hair actually look better than those with graceful flowy hair =.=
haha yea. Chars that are under going huge makeover are hard... but thanks my new taste for fashion and fashion sense that a friend of mine helped me acquire after talking hours about how to make chars look fashionable back then xD
things should be a bit easier for me now than before :3. So far my mom actually like's the char's new looks

uh hu :3 though gimp's coloring isn't as smooth as compared to SAI and photoshop, but it's still good. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 07:54:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, way too much, but it can't be helped in some cases. Most of my characters have long or shoulder-length hair since it's hard to cut it in their time period. In some cases, but it really depends on the character, since it's one of their defining traits.

Well, it's always great to get tips from other people. I've taken to using old costumes and redesigning them so they fit in with the time periods of their worlds-- the most creative costumes coming from the mage-ruled world of Dynevras.

Can you take a picture? It would be interesting to see.

I can't really tell, but I'm having fun. Lineart's a bitch, though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 08:02:54 +0000 UTC]

But it's boring now a days almost every char out there has shoulder length hair..even the guys O.o

eh...ehehe.....I...don't have...a digi cam... >.<
though if i had you guys would already be seeing my traditional arts in in Kazuki99

of the months i've used gimp i could never do a decent looking line art..
The times i used gimp was when.. i wasn't paying attention to the comp teacher when we're in the comp lab of our school XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 08:20:52 +0000 UTC]

It's usually longer in my stories, but tied or messy. Very few people can have silky hair unless they know their herbs and magics. XD

Ah, too bad, but one of these days. Maybe you could find a scanner? I don't even know how to use one.

It's only decent if I trace a sketch, and I won't be able to do that for much for a while.

Really? lol I'm not dedicated at all. Mostly because I want it to be perfect but it gets messy.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 08:31:48 +0000 UTC]

XD really? Usually i draw chars with long hair but it get very tiring every now and then...sometimes drawing short hair can be challenging than long hair O.o i'm serious

When i get my tablet maybe...Though i have to get used to using it first...

oh
hm... if only gimp's pen tool works much like photoshop's then you'd have an easier time by now..i think

I'm not very dedicated either..even in photoshop..though i know how...I'm too lazy to make decent line arts

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 08:35:54 +0000 UTC]

Very much so. Long hair is very easy to draw but short hair provides the challenge of portraying movement and how the strands go together.

Good luck with that. I'll be looking for one in the stores. It's the same as the touchpad but with a stylus.

Yeah, I wish. XD I'm using the brush tool instead, and achieving some interesting effects.

You too, huh. I don't know how I dealt with it before on paint. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 08:41:50 +0000 UTC]

Aye... though.. long hair is the hardest to draw when you drawing a char drowning and the hair isn't tied... now that's hell.... i mean the hair has to spread in different direction... omg..

thanks XD you too?

lool XD the last time i used to line art with a brush it took me 15 whole minutes good thing my artwork that time was simple... though the line art sucks a hell lot..

The line art style i use is very simple but the style where there's think and thin parts...
I can do that with pen and paper but not with the comp....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 08:47:36 +0000 UTC]

It's not very hard like you said, but it's very messy and distracting. If you know what directions it goes in, you're good.

Yes, me too. XD

Pencil makes it very blocky and kinda ugly. Brush is softer and has an oddly pencil-like effect.

That's the worst of it, I can't get it thin enough on the ends of the hair and have to switch tools. Smudge helps a bit, but not enough.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 08:53:57 +0000 UTC]

and often people end up getting cinfused XD

weee i'm not alone in the hunt!

the pen tool is normally the best if you a mouse user but if you a tablet user then bush tool is fine XD since tablets have this thing called pen pressure which make you brush kinda wispy like :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 09:02:33 +0000 UTC]

Yes, even the artist, but it's good fun and great for experimentation.
Has Warlic ever made you think of a peacock?

Tell me if you get yours, and then let's see what you can do, okay? :3

I'm not using a tablet, but I'm on a laptop.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 09:10:18 +0000 UTC]

uhhu.
Not really XD I don't have much problem darwing warlic though. In my opinion he's the easiest char XD

Sure I'll tell ya

Your using a usb plug mouse on your laptop right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 09:13:00 +0000 UTC]

:3

He's definitely the easiest next to Twilly or your own character, but I meant not in terms of how elaborate. I meant the colors-- blue, indigo and green. (And those flecks of white and gold here and there.)

Great! Happy hunting! (This is probably the only pleasure hunt I approve of.)

No, I'm not. I don't know how. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 09:17:29 +0000 UTC]

XD oh!
not really since i haven't thought of it until you mentioned about it XD

happy hunting! XD

ah so it's the touch pad XD
One of the nice things about the touch pad is that it feel kinda like your going to finger paint :3 or at least in my opinion XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 09:21:12 +0000 UTC]

lolz I suppose it's a very strange comparison, seeing as he doesn't seem to be very vain or proud, but a modern mage has to be vain in their own way, it's almost a requirement. XD

lol

Yeah, it is.
Suppose so, and the computer feels very warm under my fingers.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 09:39:55 +0000 UTC]

depends but i think warlic isn't very vain or proud maybe years of experience taught him that? XD

lool

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 09:59:32 +0000 UTC]

Like I said, it's hard to tell. The colors suit him though-- in a sense more of elegance than pride.

Oh, yes. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VampireIllu In reply to Cheshire-Shadow [2010-04-11 10:03:10 +0000 UTC]

Probably it's more on elegance XD but the best way to know is to ask AE or tomix >8)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cheshire-Shadow In reply to VampireIllu [2010-04-11 10:05:41 +0000 UTC]

I didn't really mean there was symbolism, I just thought it was an interesting comparison. When I get some watercolors, I might illustrate my point.
