I can say honestly and without a doubt that this is one of the best photos you have ever taken in your ENTIRE LIFE. Yes, you heard me!!! It looks like a professional photo in an insect magazine or a poster you could find at Hobby Lobby. No, it's too pretty to be at Hobby Lobby.
First off, the colors are STUNNING!! That gorgeous red captures your attention instantly. It's almsot perfectly centered, but not being exactly centered it gives it more character. The focus couldn't have worked more in your favor. The background is hazey and becomes strongly focused as the picture moves into the center ornament, the beetle. Again, the clearity and crispness is flawless. Pollen grains are visible in this one also! One of it's best aspects in how well that dark colored beetle leaps out at you from the vibrant red flower. This is a spectacluar photograph!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could fav this more than once!

The title really fits with this one. I think it's even brighter than the previous photo. The colors are so saturated and lively, which in some ways makes it a bit more appealing than the other photo.
I also like the angle of the protruding part of the flower, although I think the beetle is a bit too "front-on". The details of its body are lovely though, like the light green sheen on the top shell and the flower reflected at the bottom.
Again, I'd recommend a tighter crop, this time from the top and the left side. Rule of Thirds works really well with artwork, and in this case it would clean up the "too much red" background so that the focus is more on the beetle. With the crop it has right now, the red is a bit too much and distracts me from seeing the beetle fully. Anyhow, I love both photos and I think you are improving!
