I hope I'm not too naïve in believing that, for the most part, everyone is equipped with a moral code of some sort.
I mean, there's definitely a sliding scale as to how comprehensive that code might be, or how aware of it one is, and there's most certainly a LOT of leeway in how closely one abides by it, and how much of it is self-enforced, self-regulated, and what one allows to not bother with.
Apologies are a tough one. Admitting you're wrong, or admitting wrongdoing--especially if there's a chance that not doing so will bring about no consequence--is often a real test of will.
Point is, sometimes your conscience demands satisfaction. Sometimes expressing remorse or regret or gratitude demands a formal rite of declaration.
At least it does for Gogo here. And she's not going to allow herself to be let off the hook without speaking her piece because, dammit, that. Is. WRONG.

I really like the visuals here.. the "Wrong" being poked is subtly humorous, but the offered hand really pops off the page.

If you judge morality as how you treat people you have power over, then there has been quite a bit of moral failings in the news of late.
In this day and age, most public apologies are phony, cowardly, and meaningless both to the apology giver and the apology receiver. Nice to see sincerity in Gogo's character. I'll take it where I can find it.

From what I've seen at times, even Deviantart can become like much of the Internet seems to be, a battleground of two opposing ideologies..

It is a matter of tolerance, which seem to be in short supply. I have found on DA some very nice people who believe in ideologies that make me cringe in horror. But I take the good with the bad knowing that a online flame war won't change anyone's mind.

Yeah, I am sure that there are reasonable people on both sides, it's just that the extreme ones get the most attention.. And, you're right.. When one's beliefs are questioned by others, people feel as if it an attack on themselves... Degenerates into insults and name calling very quickly..

I've liked Gogo from the first page of her story I read, I really like her now. She may be socially awkward, and very blunt speaking her mind, but she's trying to set things right. Quite the lady in my book.
