Some astute readers have correctly predicted this eventuality:
That somebody was gonna get licked by a cow.
If you’ve never had the privilege, here’s a way for you to try it out at home: Find yourself a nice bunch of newspaper (or a bunch of those junk mail ads or shopping circulars will do), wrap it into a nice, heavy roll, give it a good dunk in some Windex (or an ammonia-based household cleaner), and then slide the whole mess upside your face or head. Maybe take a whiff of the wastebasket while you do so, or a sniff of some compost.
I’ve personally found the experience to be neither pleasant nor especially unpleasant; like Pablo, it’s just unsettling in a peculiar way, and rather unlike being licked in the face by a dog (though cows do seem to enjoy the act of licking whatever wanders within range).
Oh, and cows also provide biological evidence that Gogo is not in Kans—-er, Oz, I guess—anymore.
Danged useful creatures, them cows.

Gogo's must come from a far away place, to not have seen actual cows.. Either that, or no one in Milwaukee has heard of cows. I've never been there,so the second one might be true..

I wish I drew animals more often, because I enjoy it a lot when I do. I wasn’t entirely sure how much detail to put into the cows, since I don’t have a lot of prior reference in the comic to how cartoony or realistic animals appear. But I’m glad the cows look like cows

We have free ranged cows here, so I've honestly never seen such an interaction before
These are very tame cows... our cows would not let you touch them and they are super untrusting
I let a pile of fruit for them, and they would not eat it, simply because I left it there.
Cows do eat fruit however, so it is obvious they just don't like humans ... or me

I remember a lot of cows I worked around as being very set in their routines and boundaries. If there was a fence between you and them, they were often happy to come right up to you.
Step across that fence, though, and they got the jitters. That, or it meant you were gonna move them around, and if it wasn’t milking or feeding time, being herded around made them uneasy.

I guess it also depends on how fat they are
if there incapable of running away or kicking... then maybe they stop trying all together
I know pigs are near impossible to catch, but once they gain a few hundred pounds they become as docile as a fat cat

You should also liberally sprinkle said roll of circulars with enough sand so that when you wipe it up side your face, it feels like the cow is attempting to pull you into its mouth.

I just LOVE the details you draw in here and there. I had a good giggle when Pablo got licked and his reaction there and the following frames. That little extra makes the comic at least 50% better.

When making comics, it’s really easy to make a conversation just with talking heads going back and forth. I’m sure I still do that too often, but little asides and/or a little action can really help an otherwise visually slow or unexciting scene become slightly (or 50%) more interesting

I see. The cows represent a confirmation of radical change to Gogo. Gogo has to contend with the probability of escalating uncertainty; familiarity has been completely compromised. Gogo is a pariah. A stranger in a strange land. She not only has to reevaluate her situation but also adapt to a new set of circumstances with virtually no frame of reference. Gogo's consternation is not only understandable but also justified.
Poor Pablo. He has now been officially traumatized for life. He may even develop a condition of Bovinophobia and have a permanent aversion to all bovine. Hopefully, this is not the case.
