FRIDAY UPDATE! (*checks...yeah it's Friday*) FRIDAY UPDATE TIME!
So...hey. Hi there. This has been a week, hasn't it? I mean...wooo yeah. I...yeah.
Alright, you know what? We're here for comics and stories and characters. This is the "break", where we can spend some emotional investment in jokes and drama, monsters and mayhem, and take a step outside our lives and into worlds apart. That's what I was here for yesterday, that's what I'm here for today, and that's what I'll still be here for tomorrow. What we have going on outside is another thing, but this gives me happiness to work on, and I hope it gives you the same. Welcome
ANYWAY we continue on with MOVING DAY!
These early pages are a bit of table-setting, I realize. Like quite a few people, I am also anxious for the "Gogo hammer" to drop. But we build. We build and build...
...in order that we might break things down

I just notice the couch has built-in storage. One can only wonder what is inside.

So I live in a second story apartment. Β Me and a buddy trying to get a huge couch up the stairs...which TURN. Β Neighbor sees us, an older guy but well built. Β He says "boy you boyslook like you could use some help." Β
I started to say "yeah, actually--"
"I'll go get my wife for you! HAHAHA" *He walks back inside* Β YOU PRICK.

I have been there more than I want to admit. The worst is a couch with a fold out bed in it and the feet of the couch keep catching on the door frame.

This is such a subtle, nice touch to the story. Gogo would be the type to take pride in lifting the couch to show off her own strength. That's the true difference between her and these normal girls milling around so arrogantly for naught. It's the first of many character traits that makes us all love Gogo not just as woman, but as a person -- a trait that we wish was not only more common in girls, but in humanity on the whole. The world would be a better place.

Oh and great job on the characters Van. They're pretty fun and they keep the anticipation of the Gogo high.

This reminds me of the horrors of moving a 350 pound CRT television with almost no places to grip. Took 3 people to safely move it anywhere because everything was slippery.

And then they find the couch a half an inch too big for the door no matter how they turn it.

Where's a Gogo when you need her?Β I am so liking what you're doing with this, Van.Β Any news on your Gogo comic web site.Β Really looking forward to voting for you on TWC or where ever.
Regarding this page: I notice that the sofa is a hide-a-bed type.Β Dunno if they thought of it but taking out the mattress helps a bit with the weight.Β Also, and this fromΒ personal experience, unless you secure the bed frame the pesky things are known to 'pop' out in transit.Β This is cause for much cursing and exasperation among those carrying the damn thing and much hilarity for the observers.Β Been there, done that.Β ;dΒ

Agreed!Β I've helped move one of those once, up a flight of stairs.Β Getting it through the door was horrible, because we had to tilt it to get it through the door, and the bed frame kept wanting to pop out (which, of course, meant we couldn't get it through the door until we shoved it back in place).Β Back-breaking work, especially when it's just you and one other guy.

So for some reason, I hadn't been getting art updates from you in my inbox since like July...I thought you were on a long hiatus. So when I decided to check your page today, I was shocked to find THIS. The REAL THING. THE LEGENDARY BOMANGO WEBCOMIC.
And it's awesome so far! Β

This is what happens when you decree that "men do the heavy lifting". XD
Though, I'm a girl and I sort of love lifting things... for some reason. lol.
It's like: "YEAH! I'm Atlas, Goliath & Superman all rolled into 1! RAWR!"
Especially when people can't think I can do it! XDΒ ((Me <---- weirdo.))

Since my day job requires lifting boxes, bags, and pallets, I should theoretically be awesome when it comes to helping move stuff. But I absolutely hate lifting things in my off hours.
So, y'know, if I need to move a couch...consider your comment an application
