Description
Loki thinks genetics is both hilarious and unlikely, and to be fair, you can see his point. He'd make Gregor Mendel cry into his pea plants.Happy Mother's Day!

I think it's a legged because alicorns don't exist in that universe. The wings were replaced by 4 extra legs, since alicorns wings are huge.

But he is a God, guys. God genetics is not mortal genetics. Simples....
Selvig trying to explain Mendel to a guy who actually managed to get a rock pregnant... Says it all, Erik; says it all

I know there is something about a rock and it is on a myth book which name naturally eludes me, but all my german/icelandic/swedish friends seem to know about it so possibly in a good book
dumezil wrote one excellent, not sure if it was translated though

This is great. I love that Loki just lost track of biology for a sec, there. Way to go, Loki. Good job.

Biology is hard, and there are mortals to subjugate!

I like to think Loki somehow saw into the future, saw Gregor Mendel's work and decided to torment his pitiful mortal Science. Just because he could.

How much you want to bet all of the Marvel universe's scientists just watched the coverage of the Chitauri invasion complete with genuine Norse gods, impossible green radiation monsters, and the handy dandy portable wormhole and just went to the nearest bar to drink and weep? My guess is all of them minus Selvig.

Genetics don't apply to gods. Hell, standard rules of reproduction don't apply to gods. Just look at the Greeks. Aphrodite was born when a dude's "unmentionables" got thrown in an ocean, and Athena jumped out of her dad's skull. Loki isn't the only one who's been "doing it wrong".

I didn't know about Aphrodite!
And I believe in Welsh mythology, Lleu was actually, as Monty Python put it, 'gestated in a box' therefore making him a very early if fictional test-tube baby.
You have to love mythology

Ah. So according to Loki my mother just didn't pay enough attention when she "planned" the form of my nose? Well, that certainly has cleared up a lot of things for me ...

According to Loki, my Mum spent the entire time with her mind on Picasso paintings
Mind you, according to Loki, genocide is a reasonable reaction.
