Description
Scrabble never really caught on in Asgard, for two main reasons. The first is that Loki nearly always wins, and the second is that Loki is the most obnoxious winner in all of the Nine Realms.Seriously. There's this dance he does and everything.
I spent longer that should be strictly necessary thinking up what Loki should be replying in the first panel, and it got to the point I ended up writing in my friend's suggestion of 'Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough' and actively contemplating it for awhile.
Maybe it would have been better, who can say?
But this is irrelevant to all life, so let us not dwell on it.
Thor characters and etc. (c) Marvel comics and all that therein is.

Loki needs to cone to my house for Scrabble. He's the only one who could defeat my mom.
Seriously though, this completely cracked me up. Seems spot on for how I picture day to day life with the Odinsons.

That said... Awesome! XD

Oh dearβ¦ *wipes eyes* this is perfection! But, I mean, that isnβt even a contest - heck, Lokiβd win hands down every single time -- and he wouldnβt even have to cheat!! No wonder poor Thor wants to go hit things with heavy sticks: since when does his little brother ever beat him at anything? Which means that now Iβve got this mental image of Loki being an obnoxious winner, doing his little victory dance, and Thor being a huffy loser and smashing the board with Mjolnir. Man, I donβt envy Frigga!
βCome on if youβre hard enough.β -> is that perchance a Discworld (Unseen Academicals) reference, or am I just seeing things now?

He wouldn't have to, but he probably would, just, you know, for old times sake.
Oh God- board games cause enough problems between mortal families- I don't want to think about what a falling out between Gods might lead to...
Actually, no, not intentionally- although I have read U.A., so it's possible it could be an unintentional reference my brain added in without me noticing...

BAHAHAHA XD lolllll so that's what Thor meant. He wasn't saying "I will have words with my brother" cuz he was gonna fight him, he just wanted to play scrabble!!

VanHinck In reply to Ashen-whisper [2011-06-20 15:51:12 +0000 UTC]
Exactly! He was all 'I haven't had a decent game all that time on Earth- and I want to use all these new words I've learnt!'
That is clearly what was going on. XD

He cheats horribly.
He puts down whatever he has, and when Thor says he isn't sure that was a word, he just replies 'It means " the play of light upon the branches of the World Tree in the twilight month of October." Surely everyone knows that, brother.'
There's no replying to that.
