Description
Is drawing fan art a valid response to scientific crises? Well, it is now.So most of the past week, I've been struggling with data. Actually, all of the past week I have been struggling with data, because my results have a very peculiar pattern, and all the follow ups I ran- seemed to make it worse.
I said to my supervisor 'I just want simple results' and he said 'No you don't, that'd be boring.'
Which is absolutely right, but it's still a bit disheartening, having to ditch the earlier explanation and start again. Plus, while new exciting results could always indicate new exciting findings, it could also mean there is a massive methodological hole in the study which is letting in the bad things, so there's that as well.
ANYWAY, I think I've sorted it, but I ended up drawing this, because despite all received wisdom about scientific endeavour, sometimes you just want to get depressed, but this gets you nowhere. (And when LOKI is the one to point that out, it really is time to stop being a big girl's blouse and do science at it again.)
And it's ridiculous, but it's going on the noticeboard over my desk to remind me when it happens again, because it will.
This was done in biro, and half way through I lost the black pen, hence why it switches between blue and black. Most of the book titles (the clever ones, anyway) are real.

Whenever I had data trouble, I just turned to whiskey and a little something I call 'data creativity'.

XD I have felt this way before, too! I hope your research sorts itself, though. You never want it to turn out to be a flaw in the study methodology!

Uff, well, we reckon it's not that, thankfully, and we even have some idea, but yeah- that's always a paranoid fear of mine.

Yep! [link]
As is 'Neutrino'
But not 'The Uncertainty Principle (Maybe)' sadly.
I was away at the time, but yeah, I saw the announcement, and I was so happy. XD

It's true. Aggravating to the nth degree, but true. ...Oh dear Odin, Loki just said something that wasn't a lie. Ragnarok is upon us.

Yes, but he said it mainly to be patronising and condescending, so he is still playing true to type, so we may be able to hold off on Ragnarok for a little while longer.

Unfortunately, I can't say "I feel your pain" seeing as I almost always use pencil to draw. I just realized how much I sound like Loki when I say something like that to my friends.

Well, me too normally, but I wanted to do it quickly and with biro you're forced to take what lines you put down, so I don't waste time rubbing everything out fifty times first.
XD It's quite a Loki line, isn't it?

I really like it ^^
and don't you hate it when you loose a pen you were using to draw with?
I find it so annoying

Thank you! It's a silly piece really, but hey.
Particularly when I put it down, it apparently disappears, and then it reappears EXACTLY where I first put it down, just as I've finished the thing.
I blame the Borrowers.
