EDIT/ I've never thought this would get so popular . People, please don't share hate here in comments ok ?
I drew it long time ago to show that I didn't liked this design, and I STILL don't like it, but please respect each other's feelings. ~ /EDITQuote is by Rattlesnakedefender but it's so truly that I just HAD to use it T_T
..because it is NOT Spyro. It IS deformed angry chihuahua.
When I saw this article -> www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyl⦠<- I was all like: "WTF... IS THAT NEW SPYRO!? DDDDDDDDDDD: " becasue I hoped that it's gonna be a odl good classic Spyro in new version. NOT this thing. No offence but hey! if Activision want to do a stuff like this, why won't they create new character? They are destroying his good name. They are destroying Spyro himself! D:
This thing is definetly not a Spyro and what ever will ppl say, I won't buy this game or like this design. The fact that they took Spyro's design does NOT make this chihuaha a dragon, and definetly not this awesome, epic dragon we all know :ccccccccccc

I don't see why everyone hates Spyro Skylanders so much. I mean really, so many people complained about Legend of Spyro when it came out, and were are like "RAWR GO BACK TO TEH KIDDIE STYLE EETZ BETTUH!!!1!!!1111!!!" So they did with this, now they want the Legend of Spyro-style back! I think this game looks fun, and honestly think that Skylanders Spyro looks cute.

Well maybe, but I AM NOT one of those - when TLoS came out, I wanted them to return to CLASSIC Spyro, not "kiddie style" and I still do.

WUT. I'm sorry but I just really don't see how that is a legitimate reason at all. I almost find the oldest Spyro series even more kiddie than Skylanders.

This one is kinda disproportionate and it's thing often used when making games for lil' kids~ and now I'm telling from my own experience.
Plus darker colours were more adultish, if we can use such words in games for children.

Your chihuahua-spyro is a true beauty. I think we all saw the screenshots of skylanders and I think even chihuahua-spyro looks 1000 times better than this strange "I don t want to call it dragon"-thing. But I think the game is going to be ok. Way to expensive and it sucks that you need to buy toys to go to every part of the game. But ok. Its sad cause on concept art he doesn t look THAT bad.

I've literally heard the same thing at LEAST over 54 times. The whole "THIS ISN'T SPYRO!!!!1111111 GET BACK TO THE CLASSICS!111!" bullshit. Why are you letting a simple design turn you off from the game? I mean, what about the gameplay? Since when does gameplay not matter, and a design does? ._.
Also, I want to mention that at least Activision is trying to bring Spyro back after (to some, the letdown that is) DotD. I also heard they might make a whole new series for Spyro if Skylanders sells well, so hell, YOU are killing Spyro by not buying the game.
Anyways, though, nice art and all, not to be rude or anything. Just saying, I'm tired of hearing it.

Well of course gameplay matters! It matters the most actually. But I was just much dissapointed after I've seen that... I mean - I've heard a lot about Classic Spyro's return and all, so I was waiting for our lil' purple dragon in new graphics, so after I've seen in the article... Skylander... it shocked me alot D:
In what point are they trying to bring Classic Spyro back? ._. In vids I've seen on yt it seems that there are toys which you have to put on something and then you play as this character - and gameplay is about fighting too. So where's Classic Spyro there?

I understand how you feel. I love the Classics the best, too. I didn't like it as first, but I personally grew on him. :l I was hoping for more Classics, too. That'd be great if we had a new Classics in new graphics. <3
No, no, I don't mean in Skylanders. I mean if Skylanders sells well and everything, they might possibly bring him back. :3 There could be a reboot, more TLoS (God I hope not), or Classics. But you're right about that, the gameplay seems to be a lot about fighting, and very expensive.

While I wouldn't judge by it's cover, I think if they wanted to bring the old Spyro back this wasn't the way, because this different game style doesn't have anything to do with the old Spyro thus...if people don't buy it's because of the new Spyro and not the old.
I think he looks awful to be SPYRO, but as a character itself it looks weird but okay. It's the fact they want me to believe that's the Spyro I've known who is more docile and less beasty and this is 100% beasty in looks. X3

That's a good point, actually. It isn't like Classics in gameplay wise besides Spyro (in fact, I'm dissed they put Cynder in there and not some Classic character or at least one without a storyline).
It has some Classic references, though, that's about it.
