EDIT/ I've never thought this would get so popular . People, please don't share hate here in comments ok ?
I drew it long time ago to show that I didn't liked this design, and I STILL don't like it, but please respect each other's feelings. ~ /EDITQuote is by Rattlesnakedefender but it's so truly that I just HAD to use it T_T
..because it is NOT Spyro. It IS deformed angry chihuahua.
When I saw this article -> www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyl… <- I was all like: "WTF... IS THAT NEW SPYRO!? DDDDDDDDDDD: " becasue I hoped that it's gonna be a odl good classic Spyro in new version. NOT this thing. No offence but hey! if Activision want to do a stuff like this, why won't they create new character? They are destroying his good name. They are destroying Spyro himself! D:
This thing is definetly not a Spyro and what ever will ppl say, I won't buy this game or like this design. The fact that they took Spyro's design does NOT make this chihuaha a dragon, and definetly not this awesome, epic dragon we all know :ccccccccccc

XD is just that in my country it's normal if someone doesn't know him, cuz' spyro is only in english and not spanish and the 60% of people here doesn't know english, or the other 30% doesn't like dragons or fantasy games XD

Nie wiem, któż był projektantem grafiki pracującym dla Activision i nie mam pojęcia jaka była jego wizja co do wyglądu Spyro. Domyślam się zaś paru możliwości:
a) Dostał pracę po znajomościach nie mając za krzty talentu...albo chociażby smacznego gustu/ zmysłu estetyki.
b) Chciał stworzyć coś oryginalnego, a wręcz abstrakcyjnego.
c) Chciał przestraszyć dzieci
d) Zażartował sobie, a zleceniodawca wziął jego projekt za prawdziwy
e) Był nie trzeźwy
Z tego co wyczytałam z któregoś komentarza ten sam projektant stworzył Shreka czy Jak wytrenować smoka. Szczerze, biorąc pod uwagę drugi tytuł można się domyślić, iż osoba ta nie widziała nigdy smoka i lepiej nie zlecać jej projektowania ich wyglądu. No chyba, że smok ma wyglądać jak czarna żaba ze skrzydłami. Albo w tym przypadku głodna ,fioletowa chihuaha ze skrzydłami.
Co za beztalencia się dostają na posadę grafika, strach się bać.
Mam nadzieję, że jeszcze kiedyś zobaczymy naszego starego Spyro, chociażby tego z SDotD.

Cóż, być może dobry by był do robienia wrogów w strzelankach, ale za gry dla dzieci lepiej żeby się nie brał.
Pozwoliłam sobie zajrzeć do Twojej galerii i mogę w pełni szczerze powiedziec, że zrobiłabyś design Spyra milion razy lepiej, jak zresztą połowa społeczności DeviantARTu ...
Cóż, miejmy nadzieję. Naprawdę się ucieszyłam na tę nową grę Spyra, bo mówili że to ma być taka gra jak Classic Spyro, tylko lepsza grafika. Cóż, wygląda na to że Acitivsion już miała pomysł na tę grę, a Spyra wsadzili tam dla popularności. ;/

Niestety, w dzisiejszych czasach gry tworzy się nie dla pasji a dla pieniędzy.
Bardziej mnie przeraża grono dzieci na DA, które uważają nowego Spyro za cool, sweet i co tam jeszcze. Niestety nie będą miały już nigdy okazji pograć w klasycznego smoczka i porównać go do nowoczesnego shitu.
Prawdę mówiąc stworzenie nowego wyglądu Spyro nie stanowi żadnego problemu, o ile w ogóle będzie przypominać Spyro. To jedyny warunek, którego niestety Activision nie spełnił.
Słyszałam pogłoski o tym, że ma powstać film bazujący na LoS. Modlę się, aby nigdy do tego nie doszło. Zapewne zechcą stworzyć historyjkę dla widzów w przedziale 4-10 lat z cukierkową grafiką i...kto wie, czy sam Spyro nie będzie różowy O_o (mówię poważnie, podobnie Techland chciał zrobić z Clawem- ponieważ druga część miała być przeznaczona dla dzieci, przekolorowali go na różowo )

Mi to akurat żal ich, naprawdę mi ich żal, bo ja się cieszę że miałam okazję wieczorami siadać z rodzicami i psem i pograć w Spyrusia ^^ Muszę ze smutkiem przyznać że to były jedyne momenty, w których czułam że jestesmy rodziną... wszystko dzięki Spyrowi. Nie różowemu, nie bijatyce, nie jakiejś żabie, tylko fioletowemu smokowi <3
Tooo tutaj przypomina go jedynie tym że jest trochę podobny główny kolor... Chociaż Sierra też zmieniła Spyra doszczędnie, robiąc go różowego >_>
A Clave'a nawet nie znam...
O tym filmie to wiedziałam, ale zamknęli produkcję z niewiadomych mi powodów. Mój komentarz? - uff...

A Captain Claw to po prostu bardzo stara przygodówka 2D sprzed (bodajże) dwudziestu lat : ] Możesz ściągnąć legalnie z Claw recluse, nigdzie jej już niestety nie kupisz.

Well, or me it don't look like a dragon - more like a purple frog with wings...? They said they'll make a nice Spyro game, and now I see thing what doesn't look like Spyro we all knows, only colours are alike (except red eyes. wtf red eyes.) And I really pity all childrens who'll base their childhood on this. Plus (what is actually not my unlike about design but whole game) Spyro always's been main character, while in this game he'll be only one of 32 playable character, which makes him only "another one" . I think Activision added him to game only for popularity... ;/

Well I haven't seen the article saying that, but I've heard this information from many people... +videos on youtube saying that if we'll write a petition they'll bring new Spyro back, later videos that Activision's doing new Spyro game - so I didn't needed those informations from people, but they only made me believe in that more...~

The classic Spyro, despite the lack of developments in quality graphics, was a wonderful piece of programming... no, not programming, it was art, beautiful...
The TLoS provided a Spyro fit for my adolescent life and onwards (I'm 16); he was powerful, mature and... perfect, I love TLoS Spyro, and Cynder just made everything better.
But this... They've failed Spyro here, turning an icon, into a sales gimick. They just failed; failed Spyro, his fans, and created a sorry, sorry legacey. No more can be said.

And yes, Classic Spyro, was beautiful art, it was epic game to which I love to come back and play it sometimes... <3
TLoS was okay - sometihng new, fresh about Spyro, and as at begginning I didn't liked that, now I got used to that ^-^
But this... no matter how much good things I hear about it, how much I try, I can't LIKE it. like this design, this idea for game and fact, that Spyro's here only to make game more popular. ;/

If they had at least made him look decent, there could've been a slight chance, very slight, that it may have worked. But the Skylander Spyro looks like he was deisnged by people who couldn't care less about Spyro, or never played a spyro game in their lives... I haven't even seen a Sparx in any of the in-game pictures...
