EDIT/ I've never thought this would get so popular . People, please don't share hate here in comments ok ?
I drew it long time ago to show that I didn't liked this design, and I STILL don't like it, but please respect each other's feelings. ~ /EDITQuote is by Rattlesnakedefender but it's so truly that I just HAD to use it T_T
..because it is NOT Spyro. It IS deformed angry chihuahua.
When I saw this article -> www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyl⦠<- I was all like: "WTF... IS THAT NEW SPYRO!? DDDDDDDDDDD: " becasue I hoped that it's gonna be a odl good classic Spyro in new version. NOT this thing. No offence but hey! if Activision want to do a stuff like this, why won't they create new character? They are destroying his good name. They are destroying Spyro himself! D:
This thing is definetly not a Spyro and what ever will ppl say, I won't buy this game or like this design. The fact that they took Spyro's design does NOT make this chihuaha a dragon, and definetly not this awesome, epic dragon we all know :ccccccccccc

they SORT of redeemed themselfs by saying this is ment to bring in new young fans to spyro, and the fact that this isn't another call of duty game.

I like the new Spyro. ._. I think he's cute.
Also, the article reads that this game is suppose to be targeted towards 6-12 year olds. So, no wonder why you don't approve. Secondly, I don't think Activision cares about what retro Spyro fans, like myself, think. They care about what the children think. Lastly, this re-design of Spyro was made by an artist that works for Dreamworks. You know, the people who made Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon. I'm guessing that person who did the design is a professional who knew what they were doing. Just putting my two cents in here. This 'it' that you speak of is still the purple dragon that I've known and loved for about eight years.
Also 'red eyes'? What a minor detail to criticize.

Well think games for 6-12 y old childrens should be more like Classic Spyro games - about helping creatures and collecting crytals, not battling and all...
I think they care only about money, actually.
uhm, then I don't understand even more, why it looks so... well... retarded. Too big tail, too big eyes,too big claws... or maybe - too small body.
Maybe a detail, but I noticed it as one of first things.

well, if it was the rights then Insomniac has nothing to say. They "looses" Spyro. Sierra can sell Spyro to other game firms, too (and I don't know if the creators can call for their rights back. Who knows what does the agreement say)
If it is the license, Sierra can use Spyro but they aren't allowed to say that Spyro is their character and they can't do with him what ever they want (for example selling).
Ok, you said that Sierra sold Spyro to Activision... maybe they have gotten all the rights for Spyro but maybe Insomniac borrowed Spyro to Activision.
I don't know... I'm not sure if I want it to know.. I would be shocked XD

Some scenes are for the bin XD But if you compare the new story with the old classic ones, you will say, the old stories were better, won't you? In fact, it has a mind of one's own.
No more collecting gems o_o or eggs or to do tasks
But how Spyro fights is a little bit cool, I mean I like his tail hit if he jumps back (I don't know how does it call this back jump)

YEAH!! I think that's the worst - no collecting gems. I was like "WTF!?" when I first played A New Begginning. Plus Sparx is no longer health-shower
