The fics are set to after the timeskip (age 16).
Haku died when Naruto was 13 years old, in the Lands of Wave.
I get it, this is purely fanfic, but suddenly seeing that character come out of nowhere always gives me that kind of reaction.
Unless your point is that she has the Darth Vader-syndrome?

What 'measured in kelvin' means is that it's less than 200 degrees kelvin, so to use Celsius or Fahrenheit... Either way, it's below 0.

Slightly intentional.
The change in body temperature is due to the freezing point of her ice.
And Tenten knows what she's doing. She'd not damage the freezing elements when active.

Haku is one of the most argued characters in Naruto, since the only 'proof' of Haku being male is a misquote from Kishimoto.
Kishimoto never outright proved Haku is male. Hell, Kishimoto did a better job of proving Haku is FEMALE!
