Soooo alrighty confession time I sort of hate all mane six pairings. They all feel a little...awkward to me? They’ve just been built up as friends so much and it’s hard to imagine them as anything different, with that being said Rarity and Applejack that I feel like could potentially have more than a friendship while still making sense in the canon. I guess the writers started to see that too with all the (in my opinion obnoxious) ship teasing that was in the later episodes of equestria girls. Well that and of course just blatant fan service. Because of that I was...surprised to say the least that they decided to pander to AppleDash fans in the finale. While none of its canon, it’s still kind of jarring to me? I’ve never seen AJ’s and RD’s banter anything more that squabble between 2 rivals. I kind don’t get why they decided to go that route with implying they could maybe be in a relationship? And that’s a HARD maybe, guys. Personally considering I’m not fond of the pairing, just like to imagine them as no more than friends. I would have much rather if hasbro teased any canon mane six ship it would be between of course none other than Applejack and Rarity as for one it’s already been implied in equestria girls and slightly teased at throughout the show whether it be intentional or not.
