Someone requested I try to make a picture of Rainbow Dash, so I took a stab at it. I... don't know how I feel about it. I mean, it's not bad for a first attempt, but I can't help but think a few things are off. Although this may be because I'm comparing it to the style of the show. I'd like to develop my own style, but I like the show's style and can't help but compare to it.Regardless, I'm happy I finally got around to giving it a try. Meant to do a more interesting background too, but I'm uncertain if I'll get around to it since I have a couple other things I'd like to get going on. So, I slapped on a gradient and uploaded it so the Internet could tell me how I did lol

personally, i like this better than the show (in different respects) the windblown effect looks a lot cooler here. and this is FREAKING AMAZING FOR FIRST ATTEMPTS AT PERSPECTIVE DRAWING
i literally took 3 years to figure out how to draw pony faces at perspective and it still can look a bit weird at times

Well thanks, happy to hear you like it; I'm particularly happy that you think the mane looks good, because I felt like that was one of the weak points haha ^_^
And I can tell you that while this was my first attempt at drawing Rainbow Dash, it took a good bit of effort getting the perspective/body orientation to look somewhat right. The concept sketch I drew is sloppy, but that's why I like using Illustrator. It allows me to clean up the sketch, add color, make the little tweaks I need to and create something half-decent XD
