Description So as you can tell the title is just the first word that jumped into my mind while I was uploading. Well he... could maybe... be... standing in a field somewhere? Maybe?

This is what I was working on in livestream last night, though I didn't finish it until today-- largely because of the wings. It seems like lately I can't spend time on a cg unless it has at least one stupidly detailed part that I need to sink hours of patience into rendering. XD

AND LOOK AT ME I DIDN'T EVEN USE A REFERENCE OTL AREN'T I SPECIAL. If I did something horrible to the wings and they are not physically or biologically possible, please don't tell me or I (and my poor, cramping fingers) will cry-- just pretend they're, like, fantasy wings. Or something. It's magical, anything can happen! 8D

Looks great! The wings are wonderful, if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have noticed. It doesn't matter anyway, for like you said, they're magic ^^ Anything can happen and they don't look so unbelievable.

But what I really like actually... are the branches in the top and bottom *blush* they are just so creepy and really bring a sense of dread to the picture.

Nice composition too.

Thanks! The branches are actually from a brush, although I had to do some postwork on it to make them look properly connected & realistic. It was too perfect though. (:

I have two main sources currently for textures: `tExTuReMaTtIc (who has lovely textures, although I don't believe he's released his newer textures for commercial use outside DA), and :struckdumb:, who has some really gorgeous stuff... most of which is free for use anywhere. For this picture I actually only used one texture, and it was this one (speaking of which, I need to add that credit to the description... thanks for the reminder!)

Haha, yeah... I have the same problem. :C The worst feeling in the world, for me, is looking at a blank sheet of paper (or a blank canvas as the case may be) and having no idea what to fill it with.

Oh man.... the answer is 'most of it', but I'm checking the exact number.

Okay, the anime is pretty much the same as the manga up to the beginning of the war in the north/the invasion of Pieta, if I recall correctly. That's around chapters 50-58/59 or so... and there are 100 chapters total, and it's still going. XD

It keeps getting better D8
