Description
Before I got into Transformers, I was pretty much introduced into the world of giant robots by way of Gaiking, particularly the Force Five movie compilation. A newer version was released a few years ago, with much better art and animation, but with a completely new cast. As much as I love the newer series, there wasn't anyone in the female cast who could hold a candle to Midori Fujiyama (aka Nebula in the English dub).

Daiku Maryu (Great Space Dragon) kept most of its design consistent between the two series. There's a certain amount of awesome in a flying battle fortress that's in the form of a giant metal dragon. For this piece, I took liberties in giving it a design of my own, largely keeping most of the classic elements in place, while adding a lot more articulation to the wings and armor.
