Step 4!At this point, I'm sorely tempted to call it finished and just cut out the Daleks-- BUT I'M NOT!!!
Used a bunch of customized brushes to paint detail into the rocks and rubble in the fore and middle ground, then applied textures to the walls of the cave, the rocks closest to Jack, and to the TARDIS itself. I also added light to the TARDIS lamp, and put more life into the light coming from the interior of the TARDIS itself.
I then created a custom "jagged cloud" brush to paint in the smoke and mist. All that's left is to paint in the Daleks and the supporting struts of the cave/mine the scene takes place in.

Good to hear it! It's especially obvious with my other work, I really still am a beginner when it comes to backgrounds. That's been affecting my speed when it comes to this piece.
