I said before that I think you can pretty much say you were hitting adolescence when you're watching a show-- any show-- and you suddenly realize that you were watching the show more for that hot female lead, and ignoring whatever awesomeness is going on.For me, April was one of those girls, along with Princess Lana and the two girls from Captain Planet. April, with her red hair and yellow jumpsuit... Ah, memories.
Yes, I know that she's going to be much younger in the upcoming CGI series from Nickelodeon. I actually don't mind. Personally, I think that a teenage girl would be a better companion, a more relevant companion, to four teenage turtles.

That actually came about as a happy accident. I was aiming for a 100% classic April, but with her hair being pulled up and back. But once I started applying colors, it looked more and more like the 2003 version, so I made her top blue to connect the two looks.

I never got to enjoy Thundercats when I was young-- it wasn't shown on my local stations back then.
I liked Cheetara's incarnation in the recent series, though. I'd also like to be able to catch the classic series sometime if I get the chance.
