I haven't used color pencils in forever and now I kind of know why. They really do not work in a large scale. X(Plus, I really need how to figure out how to shade stuff in. I totally forgot how.
Anyway, i am still extremely proud of this and i might try to combine markers and colored pencils in the future. :0

This is so cute I could die. Great job as always! May I suggest some Prismacolor marker blenders (they work wonders on colored pencil) or wooden blenders? Combining markers and colored pencils is actually really fun and effective, especially if you use quality markers like Prismacolor or Copic. The markers themselves can actually be used to blend colored pencil coloring and shading as well. n_n

Haha, this is Prismacolor and Gallery brand pencils as well as Prismacolor markers. I do actually have two marker blenders and I didn't think to use them on pencils since I always use them for my markers. I tried using a prismacolor pencil blender (basically the same as the colorless blender marker only in pencil form) and it really didn't work as well as I hoped.

Yeah the pencil blender usually sucks and since the Prismacolor colored pencils (except for the Verithin variety) are richer and smoother than regular pencils, marker blenders do wonders! White colored pencils also work as blenders if you wanna brighten and blend at the same time.

Yes, this is a good trad work. I like the characters' expressions (especially Gamzee's) and the atmosphere is pretty appropriate. Nice thought with the lighting, coming from the flashlight and the campfire.
Now if you don't mind advice, I'd suggest you to work on blending the colours, here it's still raw. To blend colours, you can take a piece of tissue and gently rub it on each and every part or colour, progressively. Be careful the colours don't leak out of the lines, especially if you want a white background. But it's worth it. It'll give you a nice layer (if you want to blend more) and it'll look much cleaner.

I never really thought about using tissue to blend, I really don't think tissues would have much affect on the color pencils, but I will give it a try. :0

I've been working with traditional media for a little while (pencils and promarkers), a long time ago, can't remember where I got the tip but using tissue makes your colours so smooth and clean and regular and wow pretty, and it's helpful when you want to shade and stuff. I suggest you to test somewhere, before trying on a proper drawing, so you can see what I mean. Sorry, it's a little hard for me to explain OTL
But putting that aside you really, really make cool artworks! Please keep up the good work! o/
