Hey look! ...it's not as full as Shirotsuki's ref, the image at least. Why? I'm bad at managing time. For now, y'all get the top of the ref as a placeholder as I finish drawing the hot Blazes

*Certain outfits are enhanced with a magic spell that prevents the fabric from tearing. (It is also water/stain proof!) This is to save Shirotsuki from any hell she'd have to go through to repair outfits. It's also a small defense from slashes, but the skin underneath is still easily bruised. --------Fire Walls:*** Blaze is bad at bending fire into protective shapes, as he only knows how to make large walls of fire. Good going on that defensive front, Blaze.

--------Fire Breath:* A close to medium-ranged attack. Blaze can breathe a stream of fire out of his mouth in both human and phoenix forms. Nasty stuff.

--------Flame Burst:* A close to medium-ranged attack. The same stream of fire-like magic as his Fire Breath, but just emitted from other areas of the body (like hands). Blaze likes to use this kind of magic a lot.

--------Fire Balls:* A medium-ranged to long-ranged fire attack. This is a ball of fire, rather than a stream, and can leave a smoldering ball of ashes where-ever it hits. (Likewise, it can also explode into ash. Good for those with asthma.)

--------Fire Arrows:** A medium, long, and far-ranged attack. This takes more concentration on Blaze’s part, but he can create a firey bow and fire arrows from it. (He’s a terrible shot though.) It is unusual to see him use this as he tends to fight up close to people.

---Last Resort---

--------Decoy:** Blaze can make a large phoenix version of himself appear, like 50 ft tall version that lasts for a minute, to allow himself to escape a battle or scare off opponents. The firey gigantic phoenix is just an illusion, so it doesn’t actually hurt anything (or set anything on fire, unfortunately).

Regeneration --------------------------------------------

---Blaze naturally regenerates from wounds over time, but it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to fully regenerate depending on the severity of the wound. (Losing a limb or closing up a bullet wound takes at most half an hour, but fully reforming limbs can take much longer.)

Transforming into a…: phoenix! ------------------------

---Beak & Claw

He can peck and scratch people to attack in his phoenix form. Squawking is a good way to annoy people too. (Not to mention he can still use fire magic in this form.)

---Watered Down

If Blaze is doused in a decent amount of water, he will become waterlogged and lose his firey appearance. He’ll become black and unable to fly, stumbling around to find a dry/sunny spot to evaporate water more quickly. (A similar thing happens in his human form where his hair becomes black and soaked, and he acts very sluggish and heavy.)

-DEFENSE. His defense is bad enough that he can be taken down easily in one hit if it causes enough pain and/or incapacitates him. Blaze really needs to be dodging hits to be useful.

-RANGED ATTACKS/GUNS: He’s bad at attacking long-ranged because of his terrible aim, and isn’t good at defending attacks from a distance. Well, he’s not good at defending attacks in general. (But he’s really bad with guns.)

----------WORST NIGHTMARE

A day where it is pouring and Blaze is next to a large body of water with no shelter, and with the only escape(s) blocked/guarded by individuals with guns and/or waterguns.

*Blaze really only has an offensive fighting style, as he has little to no defensive capabilities. If he does need to run/gets in a bad spot, he’ll put up a fire wall or decoy, and move to a safer spot or flee the scene.

--- Offensive-----------------

Blaze will fight offensively in any situation. In the case of tourney matches, he will actually exhaust himself for the team and take a hit. He’ll try to avoid this though, fighting and dodging to the best of his abilities while attempting to do the most damage. He won’t burn someone to death, but he doesn’t mind giving people a haircut.

He’ll be doing his best to take down people as quickly as possible, though will aid Shirotsuki and Shadow if they ask for assistance for a certain tactic.

--Energetic Jokester: Blaze switches between his phoenix and human forms much more than Shadow and Shirotsuki do with their beast forms. He has a lot of energy and likes to release it by playing small jokes on others, teasing, and chasing those afraid of fire. He tries not to overdo it though, least Shadow will have to come over and stop all of the fun (before a building burns down, of course.)

--Fiercely Loyal: Despite Blaze being seemingly unhinged, he is very protective of his best friends and lovers. He will rarely pull tricks on them and try to protect them instead, even though usually he runs away from potentially harmful situations.

--Flirty: Occasionally he does “rebel” and leave without Shirotsuki and Shadow knowing, but that’s just so he can go check out some cuties and maybe try to flirt. He, of course, plays up the more feminine characters of himself to get guys who are hopefully looking for the same kind of relationship.

--Petty: He gets annoyed at little malicious tricks people may play on him and tries to get them back the same way and/or with fire. (Don’t fight fire with fire kiddies.)

--Fakes Bavery: Blaze does try to act cool and brave in fights, but as soon as the odds turn in his favor, he runs. He’s a scaredy-bird.

--Moody: If specific things are mentioned, like his amnesia and unknown past, he gets grumpier and would rather go sit in a corner than talk. This also happens if it’s pouring rain outside and if people chuckled at him for thinking a small injury really hurt. (He’ll start smoking if he gets grumpy.) On the other hand, he gets really excited if people want to cuddle and get all nice and warm!

--Fight or Flight: FLIGHT! Blaze will always run from a fight if he knows he’s going to get hurt and/or the opponent is stronger than him, even if he provoked the fight. He’s a coward and cares more about self-preservation than pride, even if he does fake bravery at first. He will fight opponents that he knows are weaker than him, as long as he can win.

--Pain Tolerance: He has an unusually low pain tolerance, passing out easily from gun wounds if they actually go through him. He has never gotten a papercut that didn’t hurt a lot.

A now 25-year-old phoenix who sets things on fire (a little less than he used to) is in Sarun again. He’s with Shirotsuki and Shadow of course~ He’ll mostly be hanging around Shadow and keeping him company, both in human and phoenix form.

Blaze has strong pyromaniac tendencies, but he’s gotten better at controlling them over the past few years. (Both Shirotsuki and Shadow can keep his fire in check with their abilities as well, in case if anything gets out of control.) He’ll set mostly small, unimportant things on fire. (Especially hair, and even more so if it’s Austere’s...) He used to set much, much worse things on fire… His past is not the most pristine.

--Amnesia?:

Blaze’s first memory was of him (in human form) lying in an open field in the early morning. He had no idea of who he was or where he was. He was only covered by a large, soft red blanket, and wandered around after waking… seemingly to find something… He quickly discovered how to use his fire magic and turn into a phoenix, and began abusing the hell out of these abilities…

--Capture:

Fell’s mother discovered Blaze after a few years of his free reign of terror. She used magic to bind his abilities to Clover and gave (bird) Blaze to her as a pet. Blaze was temporarily stuck in his bird form, and could only use magic when Clover wanted him too… He suffered from withdrawal symptoms when he couldn’t do as he pleased.

--Freedom:

When Fell’s mother was murdered (planned by Fell, but carried out by Clover and Blaze), the bond between Blaze and Clover broke. Blaze was ecstatic and began going back to his old ways, but rarely used his human form. He became nearly unbearable to Clover and Fell, so when Blaze latched onto Shirotsuki they were more than happy to see him leave. Ever since then, he’s been living with Shiroi and Shadow
