Description
I don't think a lot of people realize that they can use the skirt plugin for a lot more than just skirts. I needed to remake some curtains, and thought the procedure I was using might be interesting to some. Making these curtains took about an hour total.The same general procedure can be used for a lot of things. Capes, waterbeds, anything that needs a lot of physics or folds.
pika92.deviantart.com/art/PMD-… has a good tutorial on the skirt plugin, including a download link. The skirt plugin has settings for rigging up flat objects, but I've never figured out how to make them work.
I used vasilnatalie.deviantart.com/ar… to create a reasonably detailed texture in minutes.

Is there a way I can use this technique for Kimono Sleeve Rigging? Can't really uh, make them a circle as they are already modeled.

Well, since they're already a circle, you don't have to do much of this. Just use the skirt plugin.
I ought to warn you, kimono sleeves are really hard to do with good physics.
is the best I've managed and that was with a ton of frustrating work. You could feel free to copy what I've made there if it's at all useful for you.

Thank you so much for the tip! I'll probably just avoid the sleeves haha.

I've seen most people using this plugin for skirts, coats and scarves but this is super cool!! ;0;

Thanks! I get a kick out of doing things weird like this. And, now that I've got a big chunk of boned, physicked cloth, I should be able to use it for all sorts of stuff with just a bit of manipulation.

And definitely - it will have so many uses if used correctly ;0;
