Since they need love to survive, I really hope Tia is reasonable enough to let them have at least some limited resources for survival.
Many people claims changelings are totally evil, but that would totally went against whole MLP:FiM nature - to condemn entire species - impossible to even think about.

Anything that has the ability to steal love, is by normal account considered to be 'evil' in nature, especially since the victim would risk losing all its love and never love again. And I wouldn't go as far as to say that the ponies would condemn their whole species. Everything has a right to exist. Even the most vile ones. Sort of like a 'live and let live' policy.

In all honesty I've talked to other people for this and they agree that this might mean something bright. Do keep in mind that technically it hasn't been even a year since the hypothetical treaty/ending of Canterlot wedding. So I don't expect tensions to be soothed so easily, or so quickly.

Well, she's still a villain. Despite her "pity me" whine fest, she still committed acts of fraud, kidnapping, brainwashing, imprisoning both leaders (i.e Cadence and Celestia), a massive assault on the land with the intention of taking it over and finally plans to turn all the ponies into a food source and drain 'em till they are nothing but husks.

Impersonation, identity theft, and fraud. As for the drained husks part, while it wasn't shown in the show, I'd say the comics went into detail about it. Now, one may say that doesn't count, buuuuuuuuuuut you can also say at the time the show couldn't really pull such stunts if they wanted.

Which is why I am writting it. As every storyteller would say quote on quote Rainbow Dash "Whos telling the story?" Me. It might sound egotistical but when you are weaving a story you get to be the one setting the rules. The only obligation is to be convincing.
Alternatively I have written a story where Chrysalis is the supposed "other half" of Cadance's soul, the evil half with changelings and Chrysalis originally being Flutterponies. Its not that good but if you want a link I would be glad to give it to you.

Yes, it's true that when you write the story, you make the rules and you build what stands and what doesn't, and yes it's an obligation to convince the readers to follow said rules or immerse themselves in the world. However, even with you having your own rules, there are still the unwritten rules of fiction that one needs to least apply or follow. Something I feel some writers either ignore or skip entirely, which makes some stories fall apart (case in point being that entire shitty Conversion Berau series)

In this FIMFic that I'm writing about, I've been going on and on with the problems that Changelings face with the lack of love!

In my headcanon the changelings face insanity and go on monstrous rampages if they don't feed, they become "Devourers" ((look up Behemoth changeling in dA you'll see what I mean)). Here's a real life example. In the siege of Messologi a greek city, the Turks were waiting for the Greeks to surrender due to starvation. There is a literary piece that talks about the effect starvation had on individuals. A married woman found her own husband dead, and in her starvation and sorrow she lunged on top of his corpse to eat him... See what I mean? Starvation has a great effect on mind, judgment, and generally makes the standards of civilization go away.
I think the invasion was rash, quick, and maybe an immature move altogether. Who knows however... after feeding a bit the changelings could recover enough to come back peacefully.
