Description
This was originally a "revamped" version of an old Colossus illust [link] that I drew YEARS ago! The idea was to show the progress over time by chosing one of your oldest illust and re-draw it at your full present potential!I EDITED the Illust to kind of resemble an X-Men Comic cover to kinda go along with my "All New X-Men" illust [link] , so hope ya like!

Esta originalmente fue una nueva versión de un viejo Colossus que hice hace AÑOS! La idea es mostrar el progreso que se adquiere con el paso del tiempo y a través de la constante práctica y perseverancia.
Recientemente lo EDITE para que asemejara una portada de Comic oficial de X-Men para que acompañara mi ilustración de "All New X-Men" [link] que tiene un estilo similar, así que espero sea de su agrado!

I do like some of the Ultimate X-Men costumes, but somehow I think Colossus lacks some impact on that one. It was basically made to blend with the rest, like the original X-Men that shared similar looking uniforms. I prefer the regular one a bit more because it portrays him more as an individual! But at least we get to see him (and the rest of the team) wearing something different!

I don't like the original costume he wore. I think it made him look like a male striper. I just think when an artist draws a character, he should remember to make the costume portray his personality. Then again, I think the original 1 suits him more ever since he came out of the closet.

Yeah, it was kinda silly but I did like the recent versions where he got some pants on! but I didn´t liked that one-piece suit he also wore lately. He really deserves a better costume!

OH! My bad I mixed up the universes again! The Ultimate Colossus is gay. I'm not sure about the other 1s. And that's another thing! He & Kitty have been on & off from the start! When will it freaking end!! And also, from what I've read, Kitty's love life is a complete train wreak! Colossus, Pete Wisdom(Who, BTW, is old enough to be her Dad!!). In the Ultimate universe Iceman, Spider-Man, Kenny Kong!! And in X-Men: Evolution they pair her up with Avalanche! AND HE TRIED TO KILL HER MORE THEN 11 F***ING TIMES!!! I, like a lot of fans think, she should be with Nightcrawler. That's why I drew this little Dude!--> [link]

I just think the go well together. They're best friends, they've been on most of the same teams, Nightcrawler has always been the 1 to comfort her when she depressed, they work VERY well as a team. And also, I HATE how in the comic books, Nightcrawler was dating his adopted sister! THAT'S MESSED UP!!!

hmmmmmm.....yeah, that makes sense! To tell you the truth I don´t have much knowledge from those two specially because of their time away from the core X-Men teams, basically the Excalibur period.
I blame all the mess in continuity and stupid characters' developments in the amount of writers Marvel has working on the same thing! Each one of them wants to make an impact so bad that sometimes they screw storylines and characters big time!

I know what you mean, I liked it at the time when it came out, but now I also believe those shoulder pads were not a good idea! hehe I had to do it that way because it´s a re-draw of an old illust I had and I tried to stay as loyal as I could to the original so there could be a better comparison between them.

Yeah, I played a bit more with line weight on this one, particularily adding some manga-style thicker lines around him while keeping the interior lines thiner, that and colors combined with the light effects helped me out a lot I guess! Thanks for noticing

My fave Colossus illust are always the ones that make his skin look like real metal, even if it´s not real shiny or reflective but as long as it has the metallic feel! I don´t know if I accomplish that too well but it´s what I tried to go for!
