Description
My character. My story. My writing. Blizzard's world. I hesitated to put this in the 'fanart' category because the costume design is entirely my own, but the setting and racial features of the character certainly deserve to be credited to the fantastic artists and programmers at Blizzard . If anyone is wondering about the World of Warcraft game, let me just assure you as a three-month-plus Beta tester that this is going to be one awesome product."She stared at me with luminescent eyes of a blue so cold that I could think of nothing but the frost of Dun Morogh, yet her expression was one of quiet warmth, a gentle, almost invisible smile curving her blushed lips. She didn't radiate power as some of her kind did. She didn't exude grandieur or ancient serenity or even feral alure. She just ... was. Like the trees around her and the water behind her, she stood in a state of soothing placidity, her hand extended in greeting or beckoning.
'Ishnar'alan, ehmorhe. Kel ourhi'ar demasouhe.' The words flowed smoothly from her lips and brought to mind the clear streams that used to flow down from the Alterac Mountains, the ones that existed before the Scourge came and spread disease in the land. They trickled in soft consonants and round vowels through the canals of my mind, reflecting sunlight onto hopeful thoughts I'd believed lost and illuminating fond memories that had gone into hiding during my travels. I didn't even have to know what she said; that she said it at all was enough to lift my spirits.
I think that was when I realized the true blessing a priest has to offer. Beyond their spells and enhancements, beyond Shields and Prayers and Divinities, their kind gives hope to the war-torn and weary. They exist not for themselves, but for us all; and in vicious Azeroth, that is a miracle in itself."
