Description

Week 3 of Ebori's dojo class.

This time the students were to focus on developing an attack by using the dojo's training dummies. While they could use their paws and claws, K'unlun informed that they could also use padded weapons. Remembering their previous lesson, Ebori decided to take up the wrapped sword from last weeks hide-n'-seek adventures and began to practice.

Something about the the "sword" felt clunky, yet comfortable. Whether it was the way it soared through the air or how it struck the wooden dummy, the very motion and weight appealed to the little wyngling. It was a little difficult to wield, but that could simply be chocked up to her two claws. Surely as she grew older the extra digits would come in use for such a thing. Ah, and then there was the material the sword was made of. Swords typically sliced, stabbed, and pierced, yet this bundle of padding merely cushioned the sharp blows that were delivered to the steadfast dummy. Perhaps a blade of metal would tell a different story, one far more eloquent than the one she wielded now.

Ebori's thoughts proliferated from there, growing with each generous strike. She slowly lost herself to her practice, unintentionally working to push her training further. Her curiosity bred intrigue, and from her intrigue she grew adventurous. Thoughts fluttered by as she worked around her target, slowly growing more and more fluid with her movements. Ebori had become so engrossed upon the sweet intricacies of the sword and the dummy, that she had forgotten to listen to the fatigue that had set in her limbs. In time she had to stop and take a break but not once during her respite did she take her eyes off the padded sword.

She really liked it. Perhaps this would be something for her to explore in the future.
