Guess what! Today Fennel turns 5 months old which meannnssss *drum rolls* he finally gets his sleek tail upgrade! It's about time! Now I won't have to edit every single sketch of him, haha.

Hmmm, it also seems like that brown eggy is still with Fennel. Interesting.

As with the other independent wind submissions, I decided to try something different here too. Instead of getting a close up to Fennel on his bed or in a corner, I figured I'd try to get all fancy and emotional. Fennel is a very reserved Gro who doesn't display his emotions readily. In this image we get a (quite literal) "window" to view what he's feeling. His eyes are turned in a pained expression but his mouth is mostly hidden, perhaps this symbolizes how rarely he expresses his thoughts and feelings. Artist insight aside, I also revisited lined backgrounds (at least for the foreground) and was reminded about how much I dislike them, haha. I ended up defaulting into painting the room because it just felt that much better.
